SirGalahad
I am on my second serious play through. I abandoned my first due the the game's broken combat mechanics, which I am attempting to address with a few mods. The first time I played, enemies would respawn at most every location after a few game days. I could return to most locations a week later and expect a fight. Repeatedly and without end. During this play through, enemies are not respawning. Concord, for example, remains deserted, and I'm at level 30 now. Other locations are the same: Empty. It's like playing Fallout 3 again. I do not look forward to an empty wasteland. Anyway, how is this game supposed to work? I remember Fallout 3 becoming desolate and unbearable toward the end, and hope I'm seeing a glitch, not a design. I've read some unofficial stuff mentioning various wait times for interior and exterior areas, none of which jives with what I'm seeing. Seriously, it seems that nothing is respawning. Haven't changed to Survival mode, but I am walking more than the last playthough, when I used fast travel a LOT. Maybe I'm walking through these cells I used to skip and am wrecking counters or something? Edited August 19, 2018 by SirGalahad
Undeadbob666
When you fast travel I think it creates spawns in the world. If you plan on walking around allot I would suggest something like NPCs Travel, or any of the popular respawn mods. I use Pack Attack and Combat Stalkers to deal with respawn issues, however I do play on survival mode so it may not be your cup of tea. GCM is also good if you want to tweak the game mechanics around. If your up for a really challenging playthrough check out this mod, with those others I mentioned I ran across a pack of deathclaws at level 30. Moksha8088
Try the mod Outcasts and Remnants. When completing some of the quests in different areas it will add some NPCs worth fighting and will respawn them after a sufficient passage of time. Keeps the game exciting. Deleted3082751User
enemies are supposed to respawn after 31 in game days, or atleast that was the case on skyrim, i imagine it to also apply to fallout.
kevkiev
I think it varies from cell to cell, and some take longer than others. For example, it seems that I can clear Quincy from gunners, go for a quick visit to Warwick Homestead, and I'll have to re-clear Quincy on my return trip. Other areas seem to take way, way, longer. If things are getting too empty, I usually pop down into the Sanctuary cellar or some other interior cell and wait/sleep for a while to jumpstart things. The mod NPCs Travel was mentioned earlier - a fantastic mod for spicing up the wasteland. For Nuka World, an absolute must-have to make post-MQ trips worthwhile. TheGadget1945
I used to have some mod that spawned a faction that were very well armoured and equipped plus they had fortified positions , they were called something like "US Army Soldier". They had a base at Lexington Car Park.
SKKmods
To speed up base game respawns you can console default value changes: setgs iHoursToRespawnCell 168setgs iHoursToRespawnCellCleared 480 If your in Survival mode also need to modify: set pHC_HoursToRespawnCellMult to 5set pHC_HoursToRespawnCellClearedMult to 4 May need a console bat file to ruin at every load as some values reset. Or find a mod that allows you to select the values.
DjinnKiller
You may also take a look at Endless Warfare, it's an old mod and it don't work in FH or NW, but I use it a lot alongside Combat Stalkers (mentioned above). For scaling I use NPC Level Scaling.
