you really have saved me from an unnecessary uninstalling * bows *...

 

this is the first time i played whole 2hrs without even a CTD :dance:

 

There's a lot of info on how to troubleshoot on this and other forums, so tell us specifically what you did so we can all benefit.

This post may explain a lot of what's been happening to me. I did an alternate start and the area around Riften always crashed. When I made it to Solitude I did the Wabbajack quest and that script appears in my papyrus log as well! Ultimately this means starting over and losing 85 hours of play. Is it possible to use the stopscript console command to fix these errors and save after script is stopped? If not is it possible to set up a batch file that sets quests as completed so I don't have to go through and do certain quests for the fourth time? lol

Just posted a CTD issue myself an then i came across this topic.

 

After 32 Levels i started CTDing at 100% the spot, after reading the first post it seems to be related to that Wabbajack Quest i did ages ago, could have been at Level 18 or so and just now it's causing an issue =[

Ok so here's my particular issue, I know the bluepalace and dust things are problems, but I completed that mission at like lvl17. I've played the entire game with no issues. I decided to start the dawguard vampire missions today and all was well until I got into the Soul Cairn area, if I go to the East corner of the area my game either just freezes or just goes to desk top. I've done the Blue palace Fix that was posted and the Dust fix and neither helped. I notice the area codes being listed by the errors are also NOT where I currently am so it makes no sense to me.

P.S Upon further trial and error, I've found this is caused by actually SAVING in the Soul Cairn area. I loaded my game before entering the Soul Cairn and was able to complete the area with no issues. So for any one with this issue I hope this helps.

Hi. I have been getting quite a few CTDs in my game and reinstalling/starting a new game wasn't doing much. I stumbled on this thread and thought I would try some of this out, however I enabled papyrus with the .ini entries shown, but I just got my first CTD and there is nothing in my script folder. Am I missing something? Does it take time to appear or something?

PS. One thing I have done in this most recent game is to make sure I had all mods that I wanted use all ready so that I did not add or disable any mods after starting a new game.

Hey I'm intent on starting a new game, I was planning on using a Cleansave I made just after Dawnguard came out (I uninstalled and redownloaded everything when Dawnguard was released and before installing mods I made a few saves of various races I might want to try) Anyway been playing for about 30min, no CTDs yet lol but I have noticed that the lvlpredatorscript is present in the log file. Does that mean the save is dead? or is it okay as long as I don't have it as the final script of a CTD?

 

Would really appreciate some clarification on this so I don't devote much time to this save :).

 

The lvlpredatorscript error is harmless. Actors can't be disabled using a script command when they are linked to an "enable parent". That's all the error means. I get that error even with a clean vanilla installation.
