REQ: Clean FO3 Save right when you turn 16

OK, I've got Fallout 3 running on my system, problem is, I cannot START a new game.
I can load up save games just fine, but whenever I try to start a new game, the screen freezes and I have to use task manager to shut it down.

I've done all of the tricks like adding the D3D9.dll, and adding the

bUseThreadedAI=1
iNumHWThreads=2

lines to the Fallout.ini (they're already in the Fallout_Default.ini, it's the GOG version)

Setting the exe to WInXp SP2, Win Vista SP1 etc etc

The thin is, the game runs beautifully. it's just that the damned thing freezes if I pick START.

So, if someone would send me a Clean (NO MODS) Savegame (FEMALE) right when you turn 16 and are getting an exam right before taking the GOAT test, I'd really appreciate it, because apparently, that's the closest I'm going to get to STARTING a new game.

There are 254 save games available on Nexus Mods. Have you looked here: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/categories/61/

It's the first thing I did.

Trust me, when I ask for help it's because I've exhausted all other options.

Anyway, what I ended up doing was installing my Steam version alongside my Gog version.

This one is puzzling in that, I have to have two instances of Fallout 3 installed in order to Start a New Game on the Steam version, to create my character, , and play that character on the GOG version of the game

Well, I'm all set though, I managed to create a character in the Steam version, and can't wait until my birthday so I can have fun shooting Dad and the other guy in the nuts with my BB gun for a while (Actually got them both unconscious at one point)

Then I'll be sure to make more backup saves when I turn 16 and getting ready to take the GOAT

Try a console command before the goat >>> " PlayerRef.Moveto MQ01TestStart"

Add edit: Not that this fixes your problem ... just a mention for an interesting way to play.

But now that I think about it ... it's better to do it right after the GOAT , so that you have your tag skills set.

Here is a spoiler of what to expect.

The spoiler is ... that the main quest never starts.
And can't remember , but I think you never gain experience either.
Although you could advance your char with console commands.
