FlameTheHedgehog
Activated mods for FNV, now it seems every mod is having trouble. I don't know how the load order works for it, i dont understand the cycles or the Mod Conflicts. It displays it as so confusing, and considering this never happened on NMM, it all seems hectic and very confusing, and I need a ton of help. I cant comprehend all of this Load order or the cycles at all and I am beyond confused at this point. Why is this a problem on Vortex but not NMM? Please someone help....Please contact me using discord: FlameTheHedgehog#9520
Tannin42
Mod conflicts are simply when two mods contain overlapping files. This was a problem in NMM as well, it was just displayed differently. In NMM you had to choose to overwrite files during mod installation and if you wanted to change it you had to reinstall both mods. With Vortex you can change which mod overwrites which at any time after installation using rules ("load mod a after mod b").However if you're not careful you can create contradictory rules (in the simplest case "load mod a after mod b" and "load mod b after mod a"), that's what we call a cycle. In this case you have to delete one of the contradictory rules.
Dark0ne
For more information on these things: About Load OrdersManaging Your Load OrderManaging File Conflicts The answer to why it's not a problem in NMM is that it is a problem in NMM, it's just that NMM doesn't provide as much information or as many tools to help resolve these conflicts.
