Grestorn
No you don't. Vortex can be installed anywhere. Just the mod installation directory has to be on the same drive as the game.
BigBizkit
Hi, What the error message implies (in English it reads "No deployment methods available") is that none of the deployment methods have passed their isSupported function call. Each deployment method has a series of checks it runs to decide whether it's a viable deployment option. Given that the game in question is Skyrim SE, the symlink deployment methods will fail immediately. Hardlink deployment (the recommended default option for deployment) would fail if the Vortex mods folder is in a separate partition from the game's mods folder i.e. you need to set the "Install Path (Skyrim Special Edition)" to a folder on the same partition Skyrim SE is installed on. In your screenshot, in the top right corner there is a notification saying "Mod's can't be deployed". If you click on "Mehr" (English: "More") it explains just that in more detail. I hope that clears things up for you.
