How is vortex handling large mod lists? 300+? Skyrim SE

I'm on Oldrim, but I just finished my new playthrough build with what Vortex tells me as 502 installed mods at 252 plugins (several merges of course). I just finished installing, so I'm about to test run it. I do test at every 10-15 mods installed though (Alternate Start camping, configure some mods, run to Riverwood, discover standing stones, enter embershard and kill 3 bandits along the way, talk to Alvor to begin main quest, go to Whiterun and take carriage to Solitude and watch the execution). All working fine so far at the 490 mods installed point.

Using MO2 is absolutely fine and I accept anyone who thinks that it's superior than Vortex - because it is in many aspects.

But it has it's disadvantages, and that the main developer is no longer on board doesn't help either.

That's why I see the future in Vortex, which is well usable (no matter what some people say) and is catching up to MO2 with the features. It has still some way to go though.

What I can't really understand that someone would prefer NMM - unless he just wants to continue to use his present, well running mod installation.

WOW!

And here I thought I was "getting good" with 252 mods installed

You DO realize that the 'main developer" of MO2 is the "main Developer" of Vortex, right?
