Im not aware if this is a bug or not since I cannot find any info about this particular problem, but my vortex will not stop autosorting plugins even tho its disabled. It is extremely frustrating because manual sorting is a pain to go thru and often is not very accurate due to the priority index number ting.

There is no manual sorting. There is also no need for manual sorting.

And you don't set priorities, if really necessary you can set sorting rules and use groups to make sure a plugin is sorted in a special way. But that's usually not necessary.

Please don't use "Lock mod index". This is only needed in extremely rare cases.

Read this about sorting:

I vent back to using nms instead of vortex, trying to get Valdacil's Item Sorting in FO4 to work as intended was a nightmare when you cant get it to load last unless to tinker around with Group setting, and even then the grp setting didnt move the plugins around unless I made grps for every mod.

Vortex have some great features but it really need a way to be able to move plugins around easy instead of jumping of all these hoops.

All you had to do was add Valdicil's to the "Override" group or "Dynamic Patch" group, then they would've plopped right to the bottom of the load order.

Also, Valdacil's Sorting is kind of old now, try VIS-G.
