What happened to NMM? Will Vortex just replace it when I install Vortex?

Of course you can continue to use NMM. Although Nexus Mods has not supported NMM for the last couple of years (and this has been made known far and wide), there is a thriving community of NMM enthusiasts here: https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases

When you say your version of NMM no longer works, are you saying that you can no longer download mods with the "Mod Manager Download" button. If so, then use the "Manual Download" button. Manually downloading and installing a mod takes only a few extra mouse clicks. It's really quite easy. There's an NMM Wiki available if you need help with that.

I'm pretty sure i know what you're asking.

The answer is that if you wish to continue to use nmm, it will remain unchanged from here on out as it is no longer supported.

If you do not download vortex, nmm will still handle download buttons as far as i know.

If you wish to switch to vortex as your mod manager for the same or any other game, you will need to start modding from scratch. If you have mods downloaded already you can open the archive folder and drag and drop those mods into vortex and install them fronm there, you dont have to download them again.

Thanks for this question , the answers were what I was looking for . I didn't realize that NMM was actually discontinued , because I still got update notifications up to just maybe a month or so ago . I don't read forums normally unless there is an issue . Thank you .
