I really don't care what folks do in the privacy of their own home, it's when they start demanding special rights that I get annoyed. Who you want to sleep with is none of my business..... Never was much of a sportsman. I do enjoy powerboats though. Or, pretty much anything with a motor, designed to go fast, thru whatever medium. :D

If you mean stupidity = people believing blindly to words and seeing only their own views and not trying to see the point of someone else or remembering facts - that is probably sad, but if it is connected to agresivity, that is even worse.

 

But if it is only about sensitivity, that people have hard time to get over negative feelings - it is simply interesting for me how something important for 1 person /group doesn't mean anything to other person/group, so they use it the way they want, there is nothing emotional (or doesn't have to be) behind it - they can even think it is great, but the other group who have it connected to something different and their good times with it, are offended by it. Well I guess old Fallout and new Fallout is a good example. Ofcourse Bethesda or mod authors doesn't have to care, but still you can respect others if you also have areas which are important for you and you don't want others attack those.

 

So people feel offended if you attack something they have good emotions connected to it and they feel like you are going to destroy it. Or they did experience/remember it in some way, so it does feel fitting for them that way, and they cannot get used to a different approach. Still mods aren't that important - unless devs would get inspiration from that mod. And here on nexus you can ignore it. The problem is only if it doesn't have a proper tag. Still there no right to change that. Because we have free will, unless it is destructive to others.

 

On the other hand sometimes those new combinations can bring something really cool - if you respect the original meaning and just use it in a different situation, surrounding, but with the same feeling, you are playing with archetypes and that was always a very interesting theme for me and I believe it could be also reason for success - like Matrix movie using feeling of people that they don't belong here or that the world is not real.
