Furrnado
Greetings, Has anyone been able to delete dependencies rules made by LOOT? Also is there a way to turn LOOT off? Thank you in advance,Furr
Grestorn
No, and that's a good thing. What exactly are you trying to achieve? There's a very long thread here about auto-sorting and the lack of manual sorting. All the arguments are in there.
HadToRegister
You can turn off Autosort, which is about the closest you'll get
Guest deleted34304850
what is it you are trying to do by attempting to delete dependencies, and "turn off" loot?
Furrnado
I need to delete dependency rules that Vortex/LOOT has made when I loaded a set of mods. And I want to make sure that I dont' have to go through this again with other games, so I want to turn off the "auto rule/dependency making" feature that Vortex has. Thus crippling the functionality of VortexYou can't delete the built in rules, there's a reason for that, it's because it already knows which mods should load before or after each other in order to avoid conflicts. What you're asking to do is to be able to sort your load order incorrectly
Grestorn
Furrnado, you still didn't answer WHY you would want to do that. The dependency rules are there for a reason. Did it make a change you're not happy with? If so, what change would that be?
Furrnado
What do you do when the dependency rule it makes is incorrect for a mod? You can't delete the rule. if you make a rule to attempt to fix then you get spammed that you have a dependcy loop error. And your game becomes unstable and crashes because Vortex can't overwrite itself.
Furrnado
The why is: to run a mod that requires esm and esp in a set order but Vortex is auto ruling itself in either an unstable game or dependcy loop error thus making a game unstable.
