HadToRegister
Does this overwrite/turn off/ignore the dependency rule that vortex puts in? There's NOTHING in the install instruction about putting New California in between the Main esm, and the DLC esms
HadToRegister
THIS, is what the Mod author says about New California Load NewCalifornia.esm directly after FalloutNV.esm and the DLC!New California needs to go after the Main esm and the DLCs.So, there's no need to remove ANY Loot rules

SoMain.esmdlc1.esmdcl2.esmdlc3.esmdlc4.esmNewCalifornia.esm I watched that part of the Video, Gamerpoets is contradicting what the Mod Author has said. Grestorn
For what it's worth, I don't think it'll make a difference. Other than having to fight against the mod managing tool, the outcome is most likely exactly the same.
Furrnado
Thanks again for the help. I was looking up what Hadtoregister said last. The only thing I could find is putting NC's esm directly under the New Vegas's esm with no mention of the expansions, that was on the Nexus' page for New Cali. It might mean I need to work on my google-fu =) VI. I can't seem to get New California to start. Help?A -- I installed everything correctly and New Vegas crashes on startup! You sure? Check your load order.Run like this:FalloutNV.esmNewCalifornia.esm
Grestorn
Did you install the 4GB patch? When and how exactly is FONV crashing? Does it start if you disable NC?
Furrnado
Prior to install of NC, Vegas ran fine. Which is funny cause I love to mod the crap out of it. I did the 4gb patch and if i disable NC, Vegas runs fine. I even checked mod confliction list. As far as when it crashes, it could be at start up, loading, or random spot in the game. Grestorn
Have your tried to activate all the DLCs? They shouldn't be needed, but who knows... Do you have all 7 NewCalifornia .bsa files in your Data directory? Are you using NVSE
Furrnado
I haven't tried with the expansions disabled, got all 7 bsa's, ran 203 patch. I tried running the start up on NVSE but the play was way worse, then if i use the fnv4gb.exe
