Mods Enabled in Vortex not active in game

I installed Kingdom Come: Deliverance recently in Steam. Soon after I started looking at mods, and installed Vortex.

I now have two mods installed. I have been using NMM for a couple of years, so I am not new at using mods. I did not transfer mods from NMM, I installed them via Vortex after I enabled KC:D in Vortex.

Now the two mods show as Enabled in Vortex, but the effects are not showing up in game. One mod keeps the targeting reticle active for using a bow, and the other removes the "palsy hand" effect. BOTH of the effects are failing to show up in game.

All Extensions are enabled.

I have tried to launch both from Steam, and from Vortex. Neither worked.

I DO have a launch option appended to my steam launch - -devmode - and I don't know if that could effect my mods, but the mods do not work whether launched from Steam or Vortex.

I have it set to automatically deploy on enable, and when I do enable the mod several notices pop up and quickly vanish before I can read them. I am assuming that they are deployed.

Is there any way I can confirm this?

You can download the mods anywhere, but they have to be unpacked and configured in a directory which is located on the same disk as the game, because Vortex doesn't copy the files into the game, it uses so called hard links. That way Vortex can manage the files much easier and they also take less disk space.

If there are no deployment methods available, you most likely haven't set the "Mod Staging Path" (in settings) onto the same hdd drive as the game itself is installed. That's a requirement for the usual hardlink deployment.

Mod Staging Folder is set to "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Mods" and Steam is on D. Deployment Method is set to Hardlink.

That is how it was set when I uninstalled and reinstalled the mods, but they are not working for me.

Don't set the ModStaging into a subdirectory of the game installation itself! Put it outside of Steam, somewhere on the same disk. Like D:\Games\Vortex or D:\Vortex

What exactly do you mean by "they are not working for me"? Unfortunately I have to experience in modding Kindom Come Deliverance...

"What exactly do you mean by "they are not working for me"? "

I have two mods installed. One of them retains the aiming reticle when using a bow, and the other removes the hand shaking when using a bow.

Neither of these effects are happening in game. Also, after starting this thread, I tried to add a different mod to allow saving anytime, and that ALSO does not work. The game still uses a savior schnapps when I save.

When I get home from work tonight I will move the ModStaging location.
