I don't understand this! Whenever I'm exploring/running/etc. This game runs about 30 fps or more steady, but whenever I ran into a fight the *ban* game starts slowing down, same thing happens with the horses, I don't know what the hell I did wrong, I already installed all the patches(both official and unofficial) but even if I'm fighting just one crab my computer slows the hell out of this game.

If you're wondering, no my computer isn't too slow or outdated. This alone should explain my comp specs:

With that being said, some of the voices in the game don't work either. Now now, I've already installed streamline and I thought, maybe if I lower down some of the effects ,etc it can run better, but even then it makes it slow down!

I don't know what to do anymore, I was so excited about playing this game, but this just makes me want to uninstall it already. Please somebody help me out!

You said nothing about the resolution you play, the filtering you use, are you using AA?...

But as you says the problem arises when creatures are near, maybe you want to try "quiet feet" mod. Yes, it isn't graphics related but to some issues with the sound. NPCs doesn't seems to have the problem, only creatures.

I use 1024 x 768 , no aa. And I only use HDR, but I doubt that's the problem. My graphic card is ATI radeon 3800 HD, and I can run other games just fine.

A few other guys recommended me to use oldblivion, but does that conflict with the mods?

If it makes you feel any better, I have every bar maxed on that site, and still can't top 30 fps, and it's still choppy when I pan, even in dungeons. And I am NOT running hi res texture packs. Even with streamline, and optimized. Changing from hdr to bloom or non for lighting has no effect, and niether does dropping my res. So I run it at 1680x1050, since it doesn't get any faster at lower reses. Kinda stumps me actually.

A reason why...

Oblivion was not optimized for the PC. If it was, it was horribly done.

Also... SRLab is a horrible place to figure out if your computer can run a game or not.

I don't know if this is relevent but last I heard Radeons had horrible framerate issues with some of the shaders oblivion uses. this might help.
