mcbarker
When installing a mod, I've found the installation process to be really really slow in two areas. "Processing" can take 15 to 20 minutes per mod, then after installing, another 10 to 15 minutes waiting for it to finalize (can't remember what it's called... disposition, or something like that). I'm sure this isn't normal, so what would be causing this?
Grestorn
It's certainly not normal. Where is your game located? On an SSD, a mechanical HDD or even on a network drive?
BigBizkit
This is definitely not normal. What version are you on? What mods are you trying to install? Anything unusual about your setup?

mcbarker
This is definitely not normal. What version are you on? What mods are you trying to install? Anything unusual about your setup?Version is whatever I downloaded from Nexus between 2 or 3 weeks ago (0.16.12.0 I believe). There are no unusual mods. I changed over from NMM to Vortex after a fresh install of Skyrim SE. Mods were not transferred from NMM. They were installed as new downloads from Nexus. All of them exhibited the same slow install behavior. There's nothing unusual about my setup. It's the same setup I had when using NMM. The game works great... it's just the mod install process that's a pain in the butt.

mcbarker
Would help if you identify the mod.Few megabytes, not many files?GBs iin size, thousands of textures? As I said... it happens with all mods. Large ones; small ones; a mixture of graphics, NPCs, some like Immersive Citizens AI, or Cutting Room Floor, etc. There are approximately 150 of them.
