rmm200
Friends don't let friends run with auto-update on. Check the forums - there are a lot of ways to protect yourself from Bethesda CC updates. It hit both Fallout 4 and Skyrim SE from what I hear. AugustaCalidia
If you want to avoid update headaches in the future, then follow rmm200's advice about protecting yourself from CC (Creation Club) updates. Here's a link to a helpful mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/26956. This mod doesn't protect you from updates, but it does allow you to revert to your previous Fallout4.exe if an update occurs.
HadToRegister
Just install "Fallout4.exe Auto Backup" mod for Fallout 4Install "SkyrimSE.exe Auto Backup" for Skyrim SE, stop messing around with that long rollback trick, when you can just quickly restore your old EXE from the backup folder and continue playing until F4SE or SKSKE64 and the mods that use them are updated.
