sopmac45
Just updated to the new version and everything is working as it should. Now we have a tip on the bottom of the MOD and PLUGIN sections on how to select everything at the same time, very nice !! Under SETTINGS --- MODS, the Mod Staging is now green with a nice legend about how to handle this important part on your Vortex installation process The Knowledge Base screen has been fixed and it does looks very nice now. Great job !!
astreed
So my mod staging folder was on my game folder and when the vortex thingy adviced me to move it to another folder outside the game folder I accepted. Now my gamefile is corrupted because all the mods are missing... How can I revert this? is there any log that tells me the previous location from where my mods where previosly loaded?edit: All of this happenned because of this new version, it will help to put a warning. Can't put it inside the gamefolder again vía vortex because is bitching about it. Will try to do it manually. Is there a way to change the route that my save file was aiming before to look for the mods?

DO NOT Put the mod staging folder inside the game folder, NO MATTER WHAT.Again, DO NOT PUT THE MOD STAGING FOLDER INSIDE THE GAME FOLDER. That is the cause of a lot of problems everybody is having. Vortex warns you not to do it, and here you are trying to manually put the Mod Staging Folder back in the wrong place AGAIN.Don't blame Vortex for "corrupting" your files, because YOU put them in the wrong place to begin with. Darrindo
The same thing that astreed reported happened to me, I have always had stuff like tes edit and mater smash etc in the skyrim se directory but when I updated vortex it said to move the directory so I did and I don't think it moved everything properly, I don't have time to download everything I had again, so I'm pretty sad about this. I understand things might be changed when in game directory, but things like skse, enbs, etc aren't affected, but anyways, I just wish vortex had an option to fix it since vortex itself was the thing that suggested moving the directory. I've tried redeploying and resetting plugin list from save file but some things are still missing like textures and game crashes even though they're loaded in vortex mods and enabled all plugins without errors. I don't know what happened but I think moving directories is to blame, although everything is in their folders and stuff. I also wanted to add that I moved the directory to it's own folder outside of any program folders, as vortex suggests, and that is what caused everything to break, that is why I'm upset. Vortex never told you to put the mod staging directory IN the game Data directory in the first place. That was your choice, and a terrible one at that, the Video Tutorial no doubt show you that. It's NEVER a good idea to put a directory inside the Game Directory unless it's installed mods. The mod staging directory and downloads directory should be on the same HARD DRIVE as your Game, but they should NEVER be anywhere near the Game Directory PURGE the Mods, then Re-Deploy
Ivory0102
How do I revert to previous version of Vortex? 60 sec load time, 60 sec for action before it freezes and then I have to close window and reload. Now what is not tolerable is plugins being determined to be not valid, which were previously sorted. This seems to be creeping through my mods. The last mods loaded and sorted and now determined to be not valid plugins are Skyrim SE, pet mods of Grunt, Garm, Spanx. This did not happen with last version of Vortex. How do I revert back until testing is completed?

How do I revert back until testing is completed? First, turn off Auto Updating by going to SETTINGS------------->VORTEX-------------->UPDATE and changing it to "No Automatic Updates" Then go to github Vortex "Releases" and scroll down to the version you want and download https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Vortex/releases
