GameShark1701
So I decided to switch from nmm to vortex just because it was newer and i was getting tired of manually installing mods. but for some reason i cant ever get it to display mods for skyrim se and it gives me the message in the screenie. I have over 500 active mods on nmm so that might have something to do with the issue. Thanks!

Guest deleted34304850
read the built-in knowledge base. this is something you need to do right up front before you even start to fiddle with mods.seriously, read it.if you don't want to or can't read, then don't try to transition from nmm to vortex because you're going to wreck your christmas. sopmac45
What 1ae0bfb8 advised to you is the best that you can get. Also, if you have 500 mods in NMM, I would not recommend to import them to Vortex WITHOUT reading and learning Vortex. Why don't you use another game like Fallout 4 ? Install it in NMM with only 15 mods and import it to Vortex and monkey around with that game and a few mods which will be easier than handling 500 mods. Once you feel that you are comfortable, then make the transition with your big game. Obviously, that will require from you, reading, watching videos, asking questions in this forum and a trial and error process. If you are not willing to to that, then stay in NMM and avoid personal chaos in our holidays.

If you want to use hardlink deployment, you need to go into your SETTINGS in Vortex and change the Mod Staging Folder to the Same Drive as your game is installed on.
