dc040583
I totally understand that you need the money, and I'm willing to shut it back off and let the ads be. But you gotta do one thing: KILL the video ads. I'm willing to live with other stuff but the video ads are just too much. The human eye is drawn to motion, and these little videos in the corner are just not acceptable. So Unless they're gotten rid of, my adblocker is staying ON. I'm sorry about that but I've just had enough of trying to look over the mods I want with that nonsense in the corners distracting me.
HadToRegister
Paying $2 removes the ads for good.

BigBizkit
pretty sure video ads are still not supposed to be on the Nexus and needs to be reported No, there is a video ad in the bottom right corner that is intertwined with site content. As we can see OP's point we might be looking into options to allow users to block just that ad in particular, but as this is dependant on the ad provider, we cannot make any promises at this point. ereese1980
What happens when you completely disable your AdBlocker, but still get the request to disable the AdBlocker? There doesn't seem to be a Disable While Already Disabled button in Adblock Plus. It's grayed out, it's off. It's set to be 100% off on nexusmods.com. I can't turn it off more than it's off. Not sure what's going on.
StormWolf01
I'm not sure if the Nexus does this or not, but I do know that a lot of sites have the request to whitelist their site as part of the web page. Like, as a graphic that automatically loads on the page. That's what it looks like here on the nexus. At least for me, it's not an inscreen pop that shows up, with an X on it to close it. As for the video ad. Most browsers either have a setting that you can use, to make it so that videos don't just automatically start up, or extensions that you can add to them, that will put the nix on that kind of behavior. The thing that I don't like about that one, is that in some browsers, it doesn't stay stationary. What I mean is, is that it starts out a larger part of the screen, and then when you scroll past it, it turns into a smaller part of the screen, then stays in the same spot, regardless of how far you scroll down past it.But that's a browser thing.
