Put AI to player character when combat

sorry my bad english,

i just wonder, "can you put AI to player character"?,

i search it and only found 1 mod :

 

Lonely Nirn - experiments in player AI takeover and auto-pathing "Created by Acid Zebra"

but that mod only travel, when a combat happen, the character will ignore it and still go to destination

 

my question is "is that impossible to put AI to Player character so s/he can combat automatically?"

if it possible is that hard?

can you make it for me?

 

i dont ask much,

if the player engage combat, the AI will takeover player control, and will do combat using AI system

and if the combat finished, the control will give back to player,

 

and thank you for reading,

 

note : previously i like to play somebody $50 in this forum to make this mod, but after i research, you cannot pay in any way in this forum, something like legal or something, so i cant offer you with anything

Ya you would have to insert an npc at the point of combat start , to stand in for the player. Then I guess shrink the player to fit inside the head of the npc , and follow along as the npc moves.

 

I take it this is an attempt to make the game less fps and get back to the original fallout , sort of ?

 

I think it is definitely do able , just a matter of how clunky is it going to render ...

My approach would be to just have an AI mode toggle on / off at any point of choosing , instead of active scripts running to self determine when to switch.

 

Might be a bit before I can start working on something , and hopefully some others might want to tag team it ... of which I'd be fine in just an advisory capacity if someone else wanted to tackle the majority of it.

sorry for late, i just got the emal notification,

 

yes, something like follower,

if follower engage combat, he/she will combat until the enemies died,

and if all enemies died, he/she will continue "guard" the player

 

now the mod, if player character engage combat,

the player/user will "lose" mouse+keyboard control and he/she will combat until the enemies died,

and if all enemies died, the player will regain mouse+keyboard control

 

note: i dont know it can help you or not,

Sorry for really slow response ... but no that skyrim method is not available in FNV.

 

But this goes along with some idea's I have been kicking around for awhile.

I'll let you know when I have something started to better let you know whats possible and get your input towards how you want this feature to end up.

 

a couple questions for starters ... Would you be ok with an isometric view only of the AI controlled npc.

Which means flying above that unit at set height ... but could still be able to have free look independent of its movements. Do you want to be able to pause the action , then issue new commands or change weapons ?

it alright, that video just reference maybe it can help or not,

the input i like is manual by press some button, or toggle to activate/deactivate, or automaticaly when combat,

honestly i dont care about that input or camera, as long it can "work" even it only work for 5 seconds, i really happy,

I havent since been able to budget fixing it or a new rig yet.

 

I'm not destitute .... I guess it is that I have been enjoying not being connected to technology.

 

So I am sorry that I would come here and say otherwise.

 

However ... your mention to help ... gives me new vigor to move forward.

Would you like to get involved with how to mod it ? Learn how to manipulate the geck ?

Atleast for this venture ?

Simply study the functions.

 

When you understand within what they can do.

Then you can take a render idea and hack out it's game flourish with geck pokes.

Which has more other stuff than scripting functions to manipulate game render.
