Manually associate mods with archives ? + question about editing attributes.

I downloaded mods manually and then installed them using Vortex. The downside of this is that they aren't associated with an archive once installed, which means I can't use the reinstall features (which is a small annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless). Manually uninstalling mods takes long and it redeploys every single time. If I manually move mod archives to the Vortex downloads folder, they pop up as new, ready to install mods, even if the mod is already installed. I also have another question about editing mod attributes. So here are the two issues :-

1. Is there any way for me to manually associate mods with archives ?
2. Can I edit and apply attributes of multiple mods at once ? For example, settings the source to 'Nexus' and use the 'guess' feature to get the mod ID for a number of mods at once. Doing it for all the mods will take too long.

I get that I can avoid both by simply downloading via Vortex, but I have several mods installed that are downloaded and managed manually in a separate folder.

As a side note, since this is the first thread I've made or participated in, can I just say I'm quite impressed by Vortex overall. Although the UI can be slow at times, it is very streamlined but still really powerful. I'm happy with the tool and excited for its future.

I don't know why you're making things so difficult for yourself.

Vortex HAS a Download Folder.

If you manually download mods to Vortex's Download folder, vortex would've detected and associated them automatically

No you can't use GUESS on multiple mods at once.

Why aren't you downloading NEW mods with Vortex so you don't have to do that?

Best guess is the mods he's downloading aren't from the nexus. I have the same problem with mods I downloaded from other sites. I'm not sure how to get the download url on some sites to make vortex download mods from them. I also have the same issue with mods I made and installed using the drag and drop function of vortex before I realized that placing them in the hidden download folder would make it associate the archives properly.

Well according to his post he was asking about setting the mods to Nexus, and using the Guess ID feature.

So I assumed he had downloaded them from the Nexus.

However, the strange thing in his post is that the mod archives aren't associated with the mod itself when it SHOULD be.

Things have changed since this was originally posted last year, because now it's possible to select all your mods and have Vortex guess the IDs of all of them at once.
