Query Info

I recently got a new PC w/Windows 10 and moved everything to the new PC ....just not all that I needed to fully move Vortex over and basically have to start over again. However, when i started using Vortex on the old machine, all I had to do is add the already downloaded mods to the download folder and then highlight one, hit Control A to highlight all, then hit the Query Info button and Vortex would gather all the information on those mods if they were on Nexus. I have tried this several times now and every time it acts like it is getting the information, but when it is done and i go to the mods page the information is still not updated. I have no categories, no individual mod information or description, just what was there before.

Help please! I really do not want to have to find and re-download the 500+ mods that I have just to get the information and categories set up.

are both runnign the same version of Vortex? I knwo it should not have much of an impact but generally best to check. I do know Win 10 runs thigns itself differently to Win 7 as well so could jsut be WIndows being Windows as usual.

Also have you tried doign jsut a few mods at a time to ensure it is vortex, as well as check those few you try to see if the nexus page is still there with the current version fo the mod you are trying to get the info for?

Same version on both machines. The thing is that it would fill in the information for all that were on the Nexus and those that were not it would leave blank. I would have to say that about 90% of what I have came from the Nexus and all that i checked are still there.

I have gone thru all settings available as well as uninstalling and re-installing to no avail, the Query info button just does not work for some unknown reason. I am connected to Nexus and i can go to the mod page, double click on any mod that was downloaded from Nexus and i can go directly to its page thru the link in the description. Try and query info on the downloads page and nothing happens. Having no categories sucks as it makes it harder to install in the order that i want to as i have to try and find everything that is related to a category. And yes, I know I can manually do it, it is very time consuming (when you have very little time to game anyway) to go thru 500+ mods to try to find and assign each one.

Try moving the mods to whatever Folder you set in Vortex as your DOWNLOAD folder, and Vortex should find them all

Been doing that since I started using Vortex. The problem I am having is that it is showing no categories and when I use Query Info, it does not work. It did on my old Windows 7 rig, with the same version and same set up and locations for all the folders, but it will not work on my new Windows 10 rig. I guess I will try and install it again on the old rig and set everything up then transfer all the folders and files to the new one and hopefully it will start working again. Problem is that I will have to do this with not only Fallout 4, but Skyrim and Skyrim SE as well as Query Info does not work on either of those now as well.
