Random362784
Can someone tell me what the Loot executable is called, and where it lives? I wanted to try starting Loot on its own as described by TymmeRMortis, and I can't find anything that looks like it on either drive. Or do I need to download it separately? TymmeRMortis
The default is C:\Program Files(x86)\LOOT\LOOT.exe You can download it from here: https://loot.github.io

BigBizkit
First of all, you should not be using LOOT as a tool in Vortex. From our wiki: Do I need LOOT/I want to use LOOT for sorting/Is there a difference between LOOT sorting and Vortex sorting? As Vortex uses LOOT internally to sort plugins, there is no need for you to install LOOT. Vortex sorts your plugins based on LOOT and according to your own, custom rules (if specified). LOOT’s functionality is therefore already implemented into Vortex. Installing and using LOOT in addition to Vortex is bound to cause problems. Secondly, a couple of users seem to be experiencing issues due to their username containing special characters. As Tannin pointed out on page 1 of this thread, that is something that is being addressed in the next release. Lastly, I have relayed the error messages you have received to the devs for investigation. Thanks for the reports.

mnchild
It is not related with usernames with special characters. I have a username only containing one hyphen. But I have the same problem in one compertur and, no problem in the other computer with same usename.

I haven't downloaded it at all, this just popped up the other day. I do believe it may be due to usernames on your computer files as I have a "á" in mine and in the error message it looks bugged out. Just so I'm sure, this is making it impossible for everyone else with the issue to sort their plugins? Just want to make sure that issue is connected. Thanks Funkpie
