WestonG
Rather shady to not tell people about the limit; when selling them a premium option that advertises no limits. Yes, yes, I'm sure it's hidden in the ToS/EULA.... somewhere. It can be easily bypassed anyway, by simply downloading manually.

MrMason
If people are legitimately hitting the limits we've set then please let us know about it - we aren't adverse to changing the limits if they need to be changed. The limit isn't there to stop premium users downloading - it's to protect the services against being taken down by bots etc. The limit is very high and we see a tiny number of requests that get rate limited, and it's usually due to a software bug from the client making the requests. They need to be changed. At the very least, increase the HOURLY limit by 10x on hourly for PREMIUM paid users. It is quite common to hit the limit in the Sinitar Gaming community (primarily for SKYRIM modding). We have a working skyrim mod list and guide for 1400 mods, so yes, we hit the hourly limit quite often.

And there's been days I downloaded a LOT of mods one after the other. Shoud I ever get limited, hey, no problemo, I need some gametime to see the mods I've installed anyway. klavorus
Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I I'm hitting the rate limiter as well as a Premium member. Yes, I downloaded quite a few last night as I'm following a mod download guide from Lexy. I hit the rate limit last night so I went to bed and woke up to finish up the mod downloads. Now after a single mod download this morning, I've hit the rate cap again. This shouldn't be the case, right?
Pickysaurus
It's a 24 hour period. If you exceed 2500 request within that period you have to wait for it to reset. If you've gone to bed, you're probably not far off it resetting (depending on how long your slept) :) You still get 100 requests per hour until then. idefixha
I spent yesterday downloading many mods without premium no problems, took ages sure but no problem, today i bought premium because i was like well sucks i want to build my own "modpack" for me to play and with only 2mb/s it just takes too long. Then after ~60 Mods Vortex just said Rate-limit exceeded, this was like 6 hours ago so i just tried again about ~10 Mods downloaded and hit the Rate-limit exceeded again wtf, why have i paid for something which literally makes it worse to use since Vortex won't even use my full bandwith with premium...
