Blacksnake89
Hmm I might have to pick up my remote and download a few episodes. See if Atlantis is entertaining. It's been a while since I've watched the original movie. What did the people following Ra call themselves again? The evil ones not the slaves. Well actually they too were slaves really. They are the J'affar. The series introduced us to the idea that Ra was one of many beings who call themselves the G'ouald. Their "host" body is actually just another slave but the alien inside of them is what controls them. You won't see any of those old enemies in Atlantis, however. The city is in another galaxy, the Pegasus galaxy. I won't give anything away but it took the SG1 team some time to figure out how to get there because of the distance involved. If you're going to be downloading you should probably start with the final series of SG1 so you can get the basis for the Atlantis story. :) Cheers.Wait were the J'affar in SG-1? I lost interest in it because the 6 episodes I watched had the people fighting these weird alien lizzard that reminded me of deranged argonians. I basically lost interest because they weren't fighting the Egyptian gods. If the J'affar and G'ouald are in SG-1 I might have to rethink watching it. LHammonds
What are you all talking about? That was a great episode! I did not think they would ever create a show based on my idea of a race whose defensive mechanism is to fart on people. They took it to a whole new level by making a fart fog! You guys just do not "get" the shear genius of it. /sarcasm :D LHammonds
Michlo
Oh it was shear all right (I'm sure you meant sheer ;) ). It sheared my respect for the writers down a notch. heh
nosisab
Just moved by curiosity, this John Sheppard have nothing to do with the other in Mass Effect, sure?
Dragonblade86
I didn't think it was that bad, although the random team of models was quite strange. I mainly found the creatures interesting, their hunting techniques and what not. (for me new and interesting creatures are enough to make it a good episode cz im easily pleased like that :P). Now i think about it becket was off aswell, he's normally quite smooth with ladies in this he was unusually quiet and shy :s

Michlo
Just moved by curiosity, this John Sheppard have nothing to do with the other in Mass Effect, sure? No, Nosisab although I think the developers may have named him that as a tribute. Different spelling on the name in ME though. i will stick with Dr Keller for now hehe Sheppard I like Keller too. Do you think the SG developers were fans of Farscape, Tyreil? ;) Cheers.

worm82075
I've been a Ttrekkie for as long as I can remember and SG is not a far stretch from the Sci-fi I grew up on. I can't say I have even seen much of Atlantis, though I loved the movie and even got into SG-1 for awhile despite RDA. It stands to reason that if SG is anything like ST in the production then most episodes are written by a single person and many writers get a shot. Chances are somebody owed someone a favor and that is how this happened. There have been less than decent episodes in every great series so It's probably not a trend or anything.
