UAC has nothing to do with file permissions!

UAC is about whether Windows notifies you before it allows a process to acquire higher *process* permissions than it would usually need, a sane application (like Vortex) will still _tell_ you before it runs stuff as admin.

File permissions are enforced on the file system level, you can't disable them globally and they are always active.

Vortex will *always* try to change the file permissions on the files it needs to access so that a regular user account can do it instead of just doing all its work as admin.

In your case you probably have entire directories where a regular user account doesn't have write access and Vortex tries to fix the permissions for each file individually.

You should be giving your regular account write access to the game directory as a whole.
