lisa1162
How do I check my custom rules for plugin dependencies?I seem to have a cyclic interaction between rules going on, and they don't seem to appear like the rules in the video to change.
sopmac45
To avoid cycling rules in your PLUGINS screen, turn auto-sort ON and problem will be solved. If you try to manually move the plugins to different places in your plugin load order, you may get cycling rules and honestly, you do not need to move anything from where the integrated-loot inside Vortex is suggesting. Vortex is not NMM and even though you can go full manual if you want to when sorting your plugins, I would recommend to let Vortex to sort the plugins automatically and instead, focus on resolving your Mod Conflicts in the Mod screen. BigBizkit
In plugins view (sidemenu > plugins) in the toolbar there should be "Manage rules", which will show you all your custom plugin rules that you can remove individually. The notification saying "Plugins not sorted because of cyclic rules" should help you identify which plugins are involved in a cycle.

lisa1162
Vortex is not NMM Ya, I'm still learning Vortex. I always used plugins in NMM to isolate issues.Definitely not like modding Daggerfall, of course I only had textures back then. :laugh:But, ya, just recently reinstalled Skyrim, so made a clean break from NMM.

And how that works is if MOD A textures are Conflicting with MOD B textures, and the Mod description page says "Make sure my MOD B textures overwrite the textures from the other MOD A", then you'll know to tell Vortex to have MOD B, LOAD AFTER Mod A. If you mess up, you only have to change the rule to LOAD BEFORE, and you're all set. You don't have to make TWO-WAY rules either, so you don't have to tell MOD A to LOAD BEFORE MOD B, and then have another rule telling MOD B to LOAD AFTER Mod A
SleepingMana
Now, I am not too New to modeling, I just know the basics. How would you solve something like this? I'm not sure how this happened. I looked on managed rules and I have no custom rules that modify these two plugins. I tried deleting and reinstalling them both but still got the same result. 7531Leonidas
Decide which mod's features that you want to see in-game, then click on the arrow that points to the interaction you must change to make it happen. My personal preference is to let the more specific mod overwrite the mod that is more general in nature, in this case, probably TGC should load after JKs Skyrim, so double-click on the second arrow, and tell Vortex to reverse that rule. Probably some weird interaction from Vortex's built-in LOOT. You might want to double-check both mods for some sort of patch file, look at the requirements for each on their respective pages, and see if there is a patch that is dependent upon them.
