stoune
Hello. I am trying to raise the hp of some characters (bosses) manually through ssedit, but the changes do not affect the characters in the game. Someone can tell what I'm doing wrong? Deleted58783396User
ensure that you have actually created an ESP file, and after Making Specified Changes, when you close xEdit, ensure the ESP is marked (to Apply Changes) and then Enabled in the Load Order. also if said bosses are random nps (Draugr/Bandits/Vampires etc etc) they will randomaly spawn in their respective leveled lists, so unless you have editied every single boss, you will have to wait for them to spawn. you cant and should not Attempt to Edit Skyrim and Its DLCs directly. stoune
I redirect the unique NPCs, I have the revenge of the enemies, I either edit this mod or (if I don’t have the NPCs I need) add them to the bashed patch. Do I need to create a individual ESP anyway? Edited March 8, 2019 by stoune
Deleted58783396User
you dont need to create an individual esp if you are editing Revenge of the Enemies Directly, as long as you are applying the changes via Exiting xEdit and ensuring revenge of the enemies is marked, meaning that you are about to save changes, so if that box does not pop-up then the ESP is not being saved and likewise if the save dialogue pops-up and the box is not checked/marked. not sure what you mean by redirect unique npcs ? HadToRegister
Or, save yourself a lot of time and download SOT NPC RELEVEL that allows you, through the MCM menu or a book, to relevel NPCs to be higher levels and even more challenging.
stoune
Sorry, I am not very strong in English.By unique I mean character bosses with their own names (not attached to level lists) like Mirak, Malkoran, etc. For example, I upgraded Movart's hp, (saving to the sseedit happens correctly, because the next time it opens, it will drop my values) going into the game, Movarta's hp remains vanilla. HadToRegisterI want to change only hp vanilla bosses, I know that there are a lot of mods for this, but the revenge of the enemies is enough for me, I just do not have enough protracted fights with some bosses. Deleted58783396User
oh right i see what you mean. this would be much easier to do in the Creation Kit, but anyway you will want to, remove the Leveled with Player Flag - and Set the Auto Calc Stats to 0 doing this will set the Actors in question Attributes Values to Exactly what you input, as well as give them a specific level depending on what you type in for their level, this level will never change. now in the Creation Kit, in order for the new Values to take Effect, you would need to tick the Auto Calc Stats Box twice to update the actor attributes (just visual though, you dont really need to do it twice). Also you would Need to disable all template flags, if they use them, as this will base their stats on a preset. which will override. again Creation Kit would be much easier to do this, For the Template Flags Entry - Ensure No Box is Ticked, (Right Click on it, to view flags - Un Tick, any box that is Ticked) Calc Min Level and Calc Max Level should both be Set to 0 as well So doing all of the above, will disable any form of auto stats calculating, which in turn means, the Actors will use your Exact Values that you put in. example, Putting 300 in the Actor value for Health, for Miraak, after following all my post, will give Miraak Exactly 300 health in game, however this will permanently be his new health attribute regardless of level, unless modified via enchantments. so if you believe he should be very powerful enemy regardless of level, i would give him high stats, and do the manual route of not leveling with player. (basically my post) this essentially makes him more special imo
stoune
Thank you, I understand you. I did exactly the opposite. And is there a possibility without disabling auto-leveling, just assign an additional hp (so that it is added to the calculated one)without the use of Creation Kit? Deleted58783396User
yea: Leveled with Player = Enabled Auto Calc Stats = 1 Calc Min Level = 0 Calc Max Level = 100 and then make sure the Template Flags remain Disabled. this will work as well. all of the above is found in xEdit. then you just simply need to add your own values for Health, Magicka and Stamina (If both are Applicable) then his stats will increases based on his level, which will inevitable be based on your level. However Auto Calc Stats can override your own values. which is why i disable it, as i prefer to manually create multiple variants of the same enemy and do everything manually for them, then add them into the leveled lists, so more powerful varients of them will spawn based on the levels you set. however with that said, you should be fine using auto calc stats on top of your own values. stoune
Thank you very much, for me it is really important, since I spent a lot of time balancing, and as a result it did nothing. I am not a fan of sousl games, but I cannot play a game when a boss can be killed in a few seconds without dying. Unfortunately, I can’t do anything; any changes to xedit do not affect the characters in the game. All equals thanks for your time.
