Daelyn
I'm not sure what happened, but I'm trying to download a files for Skyrim SE, with Vortex, and I am running Firefox as my browser. Whenever I try to download files via vortex, I get this error: "This file does not have an app associated with it to perform this action. Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Setting page." What the heck does this mean? I searched for help in Firefox/Mozilla, and nothing came up. A search on the Nexus and nothing, a search on the Nexus Forums and nothing. I used to be able to download all the files I wanted in 2018. What the heck changed?

Daelyn
There must be a hundred of these threads... It says for Chrome only, I'm not using Chrome. So if that was meant to work for Firefox, then it's awfully confusing.

So if that was meant to work for Firefox, then it's awfully confusing. Look at the part ABOVE THAT The Switch that says "HANDLE MOD MANAGER DOWNLOAD BUTTONS ON NEXUSMODS COM" No, it's not confusing at all, because that Chrome only thing is referring to the FIX NOW button. The top entry is referring to Nexus Mod links, the Chrome entry is referring to the FIX NOW button to fix links for chrome. They are two different things in that box. Here, I've updated the screenshot to make it more obvious

If there was, I would've tagged it with "/s" Mind you, I've answered this question at least 200 times, in 200 hundred different threads, so I can get a bit 'testy' when someone hasn't bothered to use the search function for a problem as common as this one that a simple search would've turned up a ton of threads with the solution. sopmac45
There was not sarcasm from HadToRegister and you did not take a minute to find out how to fix your issue. Look down below and learn : … 3 steps and you are right where you needed to be and as HadToRegister pointed it out, this has been answered every single day in the last 10 months. BigBizkit
@Daelyn Glad you sorted your issue. However, could you please tell me which version of Vortex you are using? Two more questions: Since you are using FireFox: 1. Did you perchance manually point FireFox to Nexus Mod Manager for nxm links?2. Did you uninstall NMM before installing Vortex?
