bLu48o
Hello everyone. As many people these days, i too have lost most interest in skyrim. I love the game don't get me wrong but every time i enter the game i go :Meh... and use the "qqq" command. Every single character i ever played on i had it deleted thinking i did something wrong when i didn't or when i got to overpowered and got bored. :whistling: When i discovered the nexus i went mad.Installed mods more than played. Some characters even got ruined because i installed so many mods my savegame f***ed up really badly. :wallbash: Only one character from the lot of them returned to life but i quickly got bored of him. The last character i had...i absolutely loved it as i started playing in character. But again,i f***ed up my save, and now i won't do the same character again because it won't be the same. :wallbash: :wallbash: Of course i didn't played non stop since the game came out.I had lost interest many times but not like this.Heck i even got Dawnguard thinking it will get me going but it was useless. :wallbash: My computer sucks so bad i can play skyrim perfectly but can't even enjoy an ENB.Go figure. :verymad: I know this is more like a confesion-like post but meh whatever. So tell me my fellow bored skyrimerz. What do you think. What did u do when you got to your skyrim crisis. P.s.:Sorry for my....errr...flawed english.
gsmanners
Every single character i ever played on i had it deleted thinking i did something wrong when i didn't or when i got to overpowered and got bored. :whistling: There's your problem right there. For me, there's no such thing as overpowered. OP is what happens in a game like Quake, not Skyrim. Honestly, I like to play around with "destructionpowermod" (I'm up to 500, recently). There's nothing like one-shotting a dragon with a fireball, let me tell you. ;D But if you really feel like your game is OP, then maybe that's your brain telling you to go play a shooter. Nothing wrong with deleting characters. I think I've deleted about 10 characters in the past month. This is what's great about alternate start mods like LAL. You just select "New" and you're in a whole new scenario.
Javalin
For me.. I really want to play the game. I really do. I got the Xbox 360 version of the game about a week or so after it came out. Played it for 10minutes.. Didn't have time to play it again after that for like.. 2 months. When I got around to playing it again - I played it excessively. Later, I built a new PC which would be able to run it, so I bought Skyrim. Installed a bunch of mods. Played a maximum of 18 hours in total ever since I bought the game towards the end of May. The best part is.. I didnt' even do any quests. Not even the mods could fill my desire to play the game. I want to play Dawnguard.. But it's VERY buggy - Now, I'm not sure whether that's because I didn't start a new game so everything could... resyncronise again. - The first lever/chain door didn't work. Had to use a console command (TCL) to get through that. - Then immediately at the second door (just after you left the previous zone with the lever door) (Where you meet the Mysterious Woman) - The lever didn't work there either. So I used the TCL Command again. When I completed the little puzzle (which looked awesome) Guess what I see? A Red Triangle with an Exclamation Mark (!) It gets worse than this. After getting through this mountain of bugs (Clairvoyance being one of them) - I arrive at the final quest target (Barely one quest into the expansion) - Where a guard yells "Open the Gate Lady Serana has returned" - The gate doesn't open.. TCL Command again. I didn't bother playing after that (This was within the last two to three hours btw)

Relativelybest
I've slowed down a lot lately, but I consider that a good thing. Because, really, you are not supposed to spend all your time playing a single video game. And you absolutely shouldn't expect to be constantly entertained by the same game for such a long time, either. There's a lot of other stuff to do. I still have some things to accomplish in the game, and I'll eventually want to try out Dawnguard and any other DLC Bethesda procuded along the line, maybe try out some mods that look interesting. So, I can still get back into it. But right now I'm finding it comfortably dull, meaning I'll only play it when I get bored. Which, if you think about it, is what games are actually for. vroix
I guess it's a natural thing. We will get bored of some things in life at some point. Whether it's skyrim, jobs, school, heck even girlfriend.Sooner or later, some people will get enthusiastic again. I personally play Skyrim "as if" I have a second life there. With a bunch of immersion mods, it feels like I have another life besides my daily activities in real life.
SergeantGrrock
Yeah, I'm losing interest too. But 8 months (on and off) has been a pretty good run. I'll finish my current game and come back and start another character later on I'm sure. The DLC doesn't really interest me but I might get it later on. sukeban
Anybody will get bored with a game after a certain period of time, no matter how imaginative or whatever else they are. I played vanilla Skyrim for about a month and a half when it came out, giving the game a "grace period" before I really went nuts with mods (plus, there really weren't that many available at the time). For about another month I added heaps of mods to correct things that I wanted corrected and to enhance what was already great about the game. After that, I realized that there weren't mods out that really did what I wanted (better itemization/difficulty/lore-friendliness), so I decided to learn the CK and Papyrus and make these mods for myself. I stopped playing and modding about two months ago simply because I had done just about everything there was to do even in a heavily modded game. I was happy with my own mods, but realized that improving and expanding them would simply require too much of a time commitment for it to really be enticing. So I bought D3 and the Civ5 expansion pack and have been playing those ever since. When making my mods, I returned to Morrowind and Oblivion for ideas and inspiration. I've no doubt that I'll return to Skyrim at some point (still haven't acquired Dawnguard), but now is not the time. Beth games just have really nice replay value, so I would advise you to try out something else for a bit until you really begin to feel a pang for Skyrim nostalgia. If you upgrade your computer, I'll bet you can halve the amount of time it takes for this to happen, dreaming of all the awesome ENBs, HD packs, and +enemy mods that were impossible to run before. Whatever you do though, just make sure that you are having fun and enjoying yourself!
EnaiSiaion
Newsflash: people get bored of single player games after a while. My recommendation is to come back after 6-12 months when there is plenty more user created content.
