TheBestIdiot122
Unreal can be used for anything... Well, mostly everything. like Paranormal is a Horror indie game, that used the Unreal game engine. It's a pretty awesome game, but it has obvious limitations because of the Unreal Engine, but it was well on it's way for being great. However, it is still in beta. So who knows what the creator can come out with. Edited August 13, 2012 by TheBestIdiot122
ub3rman123
So usually I can tell what sort of games an engine can be used to make by the sort of games already released on it? If that's the case it looks like Trinigy's Vision engine is the best.. But it's not free, so that might not be an option.
Ghogiel
You can build any sort of game with Unreal. Racing, sidescrolling platforms etc On UDN they have some hints for how to set up those sort of game styles http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/DevelopmentKitGems.html
