AngeryLettuce
I already have Skyrim LE, modded with Vortex(for fun wandering the world & killing NPCs), but I wanna Install another Skyrim LE but with different mods and also less mods(no graphics, no textures, just followers, animations, quests, etc) on Vortex(for serious gameplay).Cause if I'm just gonna make another save game for the gameplay, I'd have to disable some mods.I don't wanna disable all other mods everytime I wanna play for a serious gameplay. So can I install multiple Skyrims on Vortex with different mods?? Vortex profiles allow you to do this. Once you set up a profile and enable its mods, you don't have to disable/enable mods every time you switch. I have different profiles for Skyrim SE and Fallout 4, and this works like a charm.

Once the profile is set up, you will have a list of both enabled and disabled mods on your mods page. If you don't want the disabled mods displayed, you can simply hide them. The Vortex profile system works exactly like that found in MO2 and MO. That's not surprising, because the developer of Vortex, Tannin, also developed MO and the core features of MO2. HadToRegister
Thanks! So I don't need to download another Skyrim? Nope, not even sure how you could download another Skyrim from Steam if you already have it installed
AngeryLettuce
HELP!!So I created a new profile, and then I enabled it, and I tried going back to the default profile & enabled it back again, but somehow after the deployment, it had errors. i.e. Some mods are redundant(Most of the mods), Failed to run FNIS, & FNIS is not installed(but I have installed FNIS and it was working on vortex before)
rmm200
I will add my comment. I highly recommend NOT having multiple copies of a game installed (possible exception - Enderal).Steam has to know where THE game is located, for game validation and updates.Profiles provide everything you could ask in the way of mod separation. And if you Purge mods from Vortex, you have a pristine game directory.
