Conflicts / Manage Rules - looks great, doesn't work

Simple, right? Load CBBE first, then load Remodeled Armor after. Piece of cake, right?

Except it doesn't work. I've watched the videos. Read the guides. I'm doing what it says. I even enabled the "Dependencies" column and played around with the little lightning bolt. I've enabled and disabled the mods. Doesn't matter. Fire up SSE, see original CBBE armor equipped.

But worse, it's inconsistent because some armors *are* using the Remodeled Armor appearance. But only a couple.

I even tried switching to the Move Deployment method. This did not fix it, but oddly all my conflicts went away.

Hopefully you can tell me what I'm doing wrong before I have to switch to a completely different mod manager.

Did you install the Bodyslide Files?

Did you pick the correct options in the Installer?

Are you using trying to use the physics version?

The installer has has been tested with NMM, Mod Organizer, and Vortex. NMM installs more slowly than the others, but all work fine.

Vortex: You will need to enable at least three plugins (4 if you select Craftable Panties). If you have installed CBBE and selected the CBBE Vanilla Outfits as well, Vortex will find a number of conflicts. Resolves by choosing to have Remodeled Armor load after any version of CBBE.

Basics - always make sure you have the latest SKSE and the latest Unofficial Skyrim patch installed.

1. Install Groovtama's XPMS Extended
2. Install CBBE
3. Install Bodyslide and Outfit Studio (Not required if you are happy with the included CT77 Bodyshape preset for all outfits)
4. Install a physics mod such as CBPC or HDT Physics (you'll have to find this one outside of the Nexus).
5. Install Remodeled Armor for CBBE SSE according to your preferences.

Options:
6. If you choose NOT to install bodyslide files, you may wish to install the CT77 default body to match the outfits. This just changes the body shape.
7. If you choose "Craftable Panties", note that these come in Physics-Only, so you must have XPMSE installed to avoid a crash.
8. if you have installed CBP or CBPC, you may wish to try the custom preset, which helps reduce clipping.
9. HDT Physics (yes the same physics we used in Oldrim) are still available for SSE at the time of this writing, but not the Nexus. Googling "hdtSSEFramework" and "hdtSSEPhysics" should lead you there. Note that you'll need both the hdtSSEFramework and hdtSSEPhysics files (and they will have to match your Skyrim and SKSE64 versions). You may wish to "Translate" the chinese site and you'll likely have to post a reply to the hdtSSEPhysics thread in order to be allowed to download. By files are SKSE plug-ins and will install in to the SKSE plugins folder correctly.

Recommended:

10. If you have a saved or preferred preset, generate bodies all CT77 outfits in Bodyslide. Generate "Complete Physics" first, then "Realistic Physics" if you prefer for those select outfits. If you've chosen to install No Physics versions, you'll also have an option to build all No Physics outfits.
11. It's a good idea to run LOOT after making changes to your mod setup.

Note 1: If you get strange clipping or animation errors, try re-installing XPMSE and overwriting all. If that doesn't help, try installing and running FNIS with Skeleton arm fix. Note also that CTD's are often caused by incompatible skeletons overwriting XPMS or XPMSE. Skeleton mods are not always obvious - mods that change how you sheath or shoulder weapons (for instance) usually change the skeleton.

Note 2: If breasts or butt bones are indented or out of place in certain animations, you need to re-install XPMSE. This is issue is NOT caused by my mod.

Note 3: If you get body parts flapping around, please check your install of all of the above and enable Vsync (not covered here). This issue is ALSO not caused by my mod.

Generating Outfits with Bodyslide

Make sure to install Bodyslide files during installation

I'll assume you know how to find and run Bodyslide.exe from the correct Skyrim => Data => CalienteTools => Bodyslide folder. A shortcut to this .exe makes sense. I put mine on the Windows desktop.

1) Open bodyslide
2) Load up your preferred bodyshape or preset.
3) Under "Group Filter", select "Choose Groups".
4) Assuming you want physics, Check "CT77 Complete Physics" first.
5) Click OK
6) In The bottom-left corner, click "Batch-Build..." and wait for all outfits to generate.
7) Optional - if you'd prefer realistic physics on some chest pieces, select just "CT77 Realistic Physics" from the group filter and batch build that group, overwriting the "Complete" Physics versions above. The "Realistic Physics" group is just a sub-set of the full group; most files are the same.
8 ) Optional - if you've installed the Craftable Panties, build these to your preset as well - they also have their own "CT77 Panties" group.
9) Optional - if you haven't already done so, build a CBBE body with the same prest ("CBBE Body Physics" recommended).
10) Optional - if you've installed the No Physics bodyslide files as well, you can select the "CT77 No Physics" group and batch build that. The Craftable panties are NOT compatible with a no-physics skeleton and should not be installed in this case. Naturally, you'll also want a No Physics body.
11) Optional - If you'd like to customize an individual outfit (play with Zaps and Toggles etc.), first select just its group (see 3 above) to limit the choices, then find it.
12) Edit just that outfit (usually using toggle and zap sliders) and click the big "Build" button.

Did you DEPLOY the mods first?

Did you also SORT the Plugins using autosort?

I DOES work, I can post you 4 screenshots (list is so long) of my RULES setup.

Yes and Yes.

Did you install the Bodyslide Files?

Did you pick the correct options in the Installer?

Are you using trying to use the physics version?

Yes, yes, and yes.

Ok, if I use BodySlide to zap a panty, the Remodeled Armor for that outfit shows up in game. Otherwise it's CBBE default.

But I've used BodySlide batch build to previously zap the panty from all outfits... Vortex is doing something weird. Or it's bugged.

Edit - running a batch build against all armors reverts all armors to CBBE default, even ones that were previously working. Running a batch build against the CT77 Realistic Physics group seems to work to retain the Remodeled Armor outfits in game, but only for that group. All other CT77 outfits show up as CBBE outfits in game.

OK, do you have Bodyslide set up as a tool in the Dashboard of Vortex?

If so, do you have BOTH the TARGET and STAR IN fields filled in?

Ok - I do now... No change in behavior.

But what does BodySlide have to do with it? I mean, logically, BodySlide is changing the modified date on the file. But Vortex shouldn't care. The rules say Remodeled Armor gets loaded after CBBE, all 488 files.

I wonder if it's too many files for Vortex to handle or something.

Edit - manually re-running a Deploy after using BodySlide "breaks" it in that it reverts back to the CBBE outfit.

It's broken.

@HadtoRegister what version are you running? I'm rather convinced this one is broken.

Updated to 0.18.1 Testing. No change.

Updating the outfits with BodySlide replaces the Hard Link, so it's expected that that would work (meaning SSE would use the Remodeled Armor outfit) when modifying them individually or in small groups. I'm still not clear why it doesn't work when I use BodySlide to modify ALL the outfits, CBBE and Remodeled Armor combined.

I'm running 0.17.11

Vortex isn't broken, if it was, there would be a ton of threads with people having the same problem as you.

So far you're the only person I've seen with this problem, which leads me to suspect it's something to do with your folders, permissions or where you have your Mod Staging Folder etc.

I use a mod with 6,000 + loose files, and Vortex doesn't miss one of them.

Here's page 2 of my 4 page Rules List.

Note that CBEE has 704 conflicts, so your 488 conflicts isn't too much.
