jaconkin423
I am asking if there is any possible way you can fix or improve what happens when there are conflicts and you have to set rules. I am not sure if it is possible for the box that pops up strictly show just the mods that need fixing, instead of all of my mods. I will go through my list of mods, thinking I find all the conflicts, set the rules, and hit deploy thinking I found all the conflicts. Then I hit play button to load up my game from nexus, and the box shows up about more conflicts. I just finished adding a new mod for Fort textures, and I had to do this four times, each time thinking I had found and managed all the rules, but that wasn't the case. When Vortex reports a conflict, when you click MORE, then SHOW, it only shows you the mods that are conflicting. HOWEVER, if YOU are clicking "Manage Rules", then it's going to bring up the whole list.
Rattledagger
If you means mod conflicts, on mods tab click the down-arrow on the "Dependencies"-column and choose "Unsolved". Now only the mods still having any conflicts without any rules are shown and to set a rule just click on one of the red lightning-bolts to bring-up the dialogue to create new rules. In case you can't see the "Dependencies"-column, click on the gear to the far right to add this column.

HOWEVER, if YOU are clicking "Manage Rules", then it's going to bring up the whole list. Yeah, and when I open mod rules even when I know there are conlficts from when the More thing pops up and I click on that, it shows my mods for instance lets choose SMIM, it will show all the mods that have conflicts with that, not just the one at the moment in time, but then the mod I just installed also conflicts with say Noble 2k or 3D trees, it will only allow me to change the conflict with SMIM at times, but wont show Noble 2k Conflicts, or 3d Trees conflicts etc. When the conflict list is like 5 different mods, all of sudden it seems to crap out in showing what I need to resolve at times, not showing all the conflicts for whatever reason. Then when I can click on manage rules separately at the top and go through the entire list of mods I won't see any conflict but then when I hit play to launch game via Vortex, the pop up about conflicts comes up again. I have had this happen many times and it's annoying. Thanks rattle dagger for the advice, I'll have to try that the next time I run into one of these instances of multiple mod conflicts, for instance, just had one now installing ELFX and had to resolve conflicts with embers hd, particle patch for enb, smim, smoking torches, and I am probably forgetting a few. I click on the more thing, go to resolve conflicts, it brings up the big list of mods, and I can only resolve a few of the conflicts. I know there are more, I click the manage rules thing after deploying the fixes, I don't see any ???, and that is when I hit play and the window pops up again. Is there a setting that changes this, I have profile and advanced settings enabled, so does that change how the resolve conflict Box Works? I am still learning how to use all the tools of Vortex.
DikaWolf
What happened to the rules synergy that Vortex used to have? I mean when I set one rule the complete opposite rule used to also adjust automatically. Now I have to change both manually, which makes it easy to cause rules disparities. This stopped working with the last 2 updates.

That's strange, maybe report it as a bug?Click the 3 vertical dots in Vortex next to your profile pic and pick "Send Feedback" and choose "bug report", unless it was purposely removed, but I don't see why. dvelopppr
I have the same issue. Any updates on that? (or workarounds)
Tannin42
DO NOT SET THE OTHER RULE MANUALLY It's been reported, it's going to be fixed in the next release, but it is just a display error. You can click save in the dialog and open it again and there the rule will be. If you manually set it you're asking for trouble.
