Do you have an option to DEPLOY them?
AugustaCalidia
Please provide more information using the following guidelines: How to Request Vortex Support. There was no need to switch over to Vortex. Updated versions of NMM are available here: https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases. The Nexus staff recommends starting afresh when switching to Vortex. That's because Importing from NMM doesn't always work out owing to poor record keeping on NMM's part. From the Nexusmods Wiki: https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Importing_from_Nexus_Mod_Manager:_Things_to_consider. However, all of that is now moot, given that you've imported to Vortex and uninstalled NMM. Therefore we need more information in order to help you rectify your current situation. StoneEagle194
So what you're saying is the guide that was put up was wrong and now I have a bunch of mods sitting in a folder that can't be loaded. My only option is to completely reinstall all 180 mods, awesome. Thanks for making such a GREAT program and making it seem like I had to switch. I'm so happy that I get to most likely spend the next hour or two reinstalling all my mods. Maybe take down this guide because I'm livid knowing that following an OFFICIAL guide caused this cluster f*#@https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Migrating_to_Vortex_from_another_Mod_Manager

The safest way to remove your NMM installation without impacting Vortex would be to do the following:In Vortex, on the “Mods” tab, select all your mods with Ctrl + A. Then using the toolbar at the bottom click “Disable all”. This pulls all Vortex controlled files out of your game folder.Open Nexus Mod Manager (NMM), and click the "switch mod manager view" button so you see only your mods and not the categories. Select all mods with Ctrl + A and press the delete key. Confirm your selection, this will remove the installed mod files and archives from NMM which will release the hard drive space it’s using.(Optional) Use the NMM tool “Purge Unmanaged files” which will delete any leftover fragments of mods that NMM may have left behind.* Uninstall Nexus Mod Manager from your system.Open Vortex and enable the mods you want to use again. OK, so you Disabled all the mods in Vortex FIRST, correct? Because you said you went into NMM to disable and delete stuff, when the instruction say to go into Vortex and Disable stuff first. Just making sure you followed it correctly.

The advice given in the guide is correct. If you think the guide misled you, then you have not read it correctly. Nexusmods is not forcing anybody to switch. In fact, if you click on "Install Vortex" on the Nexusmods banner and scroll down the page, you will see links to Nexus Mod Manager.
Guest deleted34304850
the guide didnt cause a cluster f***, the credit for that goes to you, and you alone.if you're going to learn a new mod manager, the one thing you don't do - is go in half informed and try to migrate 180 mods. that is simply asking for trouble.i've advised people previously - mod a game you don't care about and add a single mod and check it works. then add a second and check, then a third. repetition will educate you far more than trying to wallop 180 mods into a brand new mod manager.and if you're frustrated, as your message suggests - stop and walk away. StoneEagle194
Look I followed the guide to the letter. Installed Vortex, Imported from NMM after selecting to manage my Skyrim files, after the import I closed Vortex, booted up NMM, selected all the mods, then deleted them. Went back to Vortex and enabled my mods, none of them were actually plugged in aside from the handful I installed manually. The guide doesn't tell you how to set the plugins and none of the video guides seem to have this info readily available as they're all about 20 minutes long and assume you're starting fresh.Despite what you might say I think I was mislead into getting Vortex. As I said, all I wanted to do was update some mods and when prompted to login I was told that support of NMM was ending, Vortex was shown to be an improvement so I downloaded it. I used a guide that was linked from the prompt I got from the NMMs login and all this happened.I've already started the long process of re-downloading and reinstalling all the mods I had.No offense, but, aside from the first guy to reply, you guys didn't help at all and honestly made me feel f*#@ing stupid, I said I followed the guide exactly and all y'all could basically say was 'are you SURE you followed the guide' and 'tell us more about what you did.' This whole experience shows that Nexus isn't upfront about s#*! and assumes that you comb through wiki articles to not be 'half-informed'I did what the guide said and it didn't work. Luckily I found the folder Vortex put all my mod files into, so my troglodyte brain could at least delete my wasted files.

The guide says Install VortexImport the Mod from NMMThen, you are supposed to have NMM, closed, and open up VORTEX, select all mods with CTRL+A then select "Disable ALL' doing that, puts the imported files under the control of Vortex. THEN you are supposed to open NMM, use CTRL+A to select all mods and hit DELETE <----That removes the Mods that NMM is controlling, while leaving the Mods from the previous step, for vortex to controlUninstall NMM Start Vortex and Re-enable the Mods So, you skipped a step, of doing the DISABLE ALL in Vortex BEFORE deleting the Mods in NMM Trying to get this sorted out Looks like you Disabled ALL in NMM, and then Deleted in NMM too. Instead of Disabling in Vortex, and Deleting in NMM
