Vortex 0.17.11
Skyrim SE

232 Active Mods

windows 10, x86

8gb RAM

After importing my mods from NMM, installing, enabling, and deploying them, they do not activate ingame either in my saved game or through a new game. I changed the staging folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\Vortex\SkyrimSE and the download folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\Vortex\SkyrimDownloads. My game is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim Special Edition

The only two mods that show in my plugins folder are SkyUI_SE.esp and anorTNF.esp I don't know what I've done wrong or need to do differently but I would just like to play my game again. Thank you for your assistance. I'm also getting an SKSE run error (pic attached). Currently running 2.0.15 and SkyUI 5.1

I set SKSE to primary and already deployed the mods, the imported mods still do not show in the plugins list but freshly downloaded ones do. I also cannnot run Skyrim from within Vortex as it says it cant find SkyrimSE.exe and must use the SKSE build I pinned to taskbar previously when using NMM.

If Vortex can't find SKyrimSE.exe then you didn't have Vortex scan for your games, and that's why Vortex can't find the mods

I already scanned and added Skyrim SE to my managed game list. It was one of the first things I did. Without doing so, I would not have been able to set SKSE to primary as it would not have shown up at all, correct?

I should add that I followed the posted guide to the letter. https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Migrating_to_Vortex_from_another_Mod_Manager

It's strange that Vortex is claiming it can't find SkyrimSE.exe then.

Or is it SKSE64 that is complaining it can't find SkyRimSE.exe?

YOu keep saying SKSE but do you mean SKSE64?

Because SKSE is for Skyyrim LE, and SKSE64 ius for Skyrim SE

I was just using shorthand for SKSE, I am using SKSE64 http://skse.silverlock.org/ version 2.0.15

I can load up the game with SKSE64 if I use the shortcut pinned to my taskbar that I used previously when using NMM 4-5 days ago. However, if I try to launch the game from within Vortex, with SKSE64 being set to primary, it gives me the mentioned launch error. I added a screenshot to the above reply for clarification.

For example, if I use the shortcut, the game loads and I can confirm by using the console command "getskseversion" that I am running 2.0.15. I noticed when I imported my mods from NMM that it did not seem to copy over the unofficial patch so I redownloaded that today. When I use the shortcut and check my mods ingame, this new mod (the patch) shows up where it didnt yesterday as I had not redownloaded it yet. So it would appear that if I redownload my other 200+ mods they will work but currently although they show as enabled they are not actually in the plugin list. Give me a moment and I will edit this and post the screenshots

In your SKSE64 dashboard tool, have you selected the correct target and the correct start in folder?

I'm not sure what that means I'm afraid, could you be more descriptive please.

I think I found what you mean.

Target: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\skse64_2_00_07\skse64_loader.exe

Srat in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\skse64_2_00_07\
