Vortex killed my game

I USED to play modded Skyrim with 200+ mods, managed by NMM. Now that there was this new error message on the NMM that it is no longer supported by Nexus Mods or something and that instead Vortex is the "new and better" version. I checked it out and installed it with the guide on the website and imported all the mods from NMM to Vortex and as described by the guide, I then deleted all the mods on NMM which was a massive mistake.
Now that I had all my mods, wait not even all my mods just some of them, because there were not imported for some reason... now that some of my mods were on Vortex I tried setting things up, but it seems like FNIS wasn't working, so I reinstalled it on Vortex and used the GenerateFNISforUsers thingy to make all the animations work, but somehow I only have 1800 animations now while before I had over 8000.
I checked if the mods were gone, but they weren't so I thought maybe they were not installed, so I reinstalled them but nothing happend, no error messages, no message asking me which animation packs I want to use, which is just what NMM did when I installed them.
So basically what I want to say is that Vortex kinda sucks as a supposed shift from NMM to a new Mod Manager or whatever this is supposed to be.
So me pro- and con- list:

pro:

-Vortex has a next gen interface and looks kinda cool

con:

-unorganised (no categories in the mod list like in NMM, which made it easy to find mods or see what mods do something similar)

-it didn't import all the mods from NMM to Vortex and gave no information which mods were not imported, just an error message that said some files might be corrupted

-not working properly, new mods don't get installed like they should (which worked in NMM), the interface that lets you customize the mod you installed does not appear

-it f*n destroyed my favorite game

So, all my mods are gone now, I deinstalled Vortex aswell and tried to reinstall NMM, but i can no longer log in there, so I can't re-setup all my 200+ Mods.
I have been looking through some of the threads here and I've noticed that negative feedback is not handle well here...
Using excuses like "well, you haven't watched the tutorials or haven't read the guides" is not appropriate. I didn't have to watch 1 single tutorial to understand NMM and now I have to watch "a couple of tutorials and guides" and I don't even know which ones?

This is by no means a good replacer for NMM and I am sad that my favourite game and my favourtie website for the game was kinda ruined by this program.
I really hope Nexus Mods supports NMM again.

Something else that comes to my mind is in the guide, which I used to install Vortex, there was line like "so you don't get a headache", well I do now have one by using this guide.

So I think whoever is responsible for this owes me an apoligy and I know that it is partially my fault aswell, because I should have never trusted the guide and "purged" the mods on NMM.

NMM is still supported. You can download it from the Vortex download page. It is the button way down at the bottom.

Use it and be happy.

I do wish Tannin had never implemented a "Import from NMM" function. It is problematic, and folks keep messing it up.

Mods are downloaded as archives (zip, rar, etc) and are usable between mod managers. If you hang on to your downloads, you never have to redownload.

I can't log in to NMM anymore so I can't download mods from Nexus directly, I'll have to manually download them.
And you guys keep saying "in many places" it is described what it does, but you don't say what places and what guides. The guide that popped off for me was on the Nexus site and I did everything that was there step by step and now all my mods are gone.
I keep reading excuses everytime after someone gave negative feedback or just "then use NMM", which is quite ridiculous after it is kinda advertised that Vortex is better than NMM and now replaces it.

If you can't log into Nexusmods any more - fix that or open a new account. Nothing magic about being able to log in.

You might need to verify the login NMM is using. Vortex does nothing to disable that.

I should get a commission on this. It is worth watching:

I agree with you. Or else post a big sign on the import button that importing from NMM may irreparably damage your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

That wouldn't stop anybody.

Especially the "Forced to use Vortex" crowd that never reads ANYTHING

If you keep reading all of that, then you must've read that you can download NMM 0.70.01 from GitHub and that it works with Nexus' new API, and you can use that.

well yes, that I am doing now and reinstalling all the mods from nexus, luckily I had saved all the other mods from other sites.

And the API stuff on NMM isn't working and is just giving me errors, which might be a "unique" problem with my computer, because somehow i can't open links if it's not inside the browser, but that's definetly on me.

the fact that this angry mob can turn on their pc blows my mind - but there they are shouting how they are "forced" to do something that they are in no way forced to do.

somehow it seems like Nexus is forcing the shift from NMM to Vortex because as soon as I opened the old NMM i got a warning that it is not supported by Nexus Mods anymore and that I should get another Mod Manager called Vortex and then there is the link to it and I just get this bs guide that tells me that I have to delete the Mods on NMM so it doesn't cause any troubles with Vortex after importing the mods...

And if the support team, or whatever you guys are (that's not meant as an insult, i litterally don't know), is calling the people, that have troubles and therefore are angry that it is not working, idiots, then you won't really make fans.

I know people, especially on the internet, get angry quickly, but sometimes they have a reason to be stressed. I'm sitting here trying to reinstall all the mods that I have lost for hours now, and thinking about the comment in guide that I should follow this guide if I don't want any headaches dealing with Vortex.
