Dweep90
Surprisingly i've been using vortex over 2 months.Until today when i tried to run it it gives me an warning "Vortex is not intended to run as administrator and tells me If i run vortex as administrator i could be in deep trouble"I double checked in compatibility that its not running as administrator.I uninstalled and reinstalled vortex. What is wrong?Should i ignore this warning? AugustaCalidia
Did you recently turn off UAC in Windows?
Dweep90
No.Anyway its a bit too late i think cos i accidentally clicked on "ignore warning" and from now on i'm not getting this error.I think i'm in deep trouble.I might just move on to a different mod manager. HadToRegister
Well, just to be sure some other malicious program didn't turn it off.Control Panel------>Security and Maintenance---->Change User Account Control Settings Make sure it's set at least to DEFAULT

AugustaCalidia
If UAC is on, and if you do not run Vortex as administrator, then you're probably OK. My guess is there was a start up glitch when you turned Vortex on. Has the warning reappeared when starting Vortex afresh?

Has the warning reappeared when starting Vortex afresh? After i reinstalled vortex i kept getting the warning.Reinstalling didn't fix the problem. But when i by mistake ignored the warning it fixed this problem.I never got a warning after that. Can you tell me what possibly could go wrong if Vortex indeed running as administrator? Having done that once myself with an older version of Vortex, I lost access to my Vortex Folder and Database, and had to give myself back the Permissions and Ownership of the files and folders
