OriginalTil Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 Hi all,Little desperate for some advice here. Any insight appreciated.Switched a few days ago to Vortex 0.18.6 and I've been having problems with the Advanced Animation Framework since. I go to enable the mod and am returned with an error message "Prerequisits not fulfilled: File 'fallout4.esm' is not active.Prior to this, I had enjoyed AAF without issue or restriction.Since then, I have tried removing all other mods, uninstalling and reinstalling the dependencies (just LooksMenu and Fo4SE as far as I know), the game itself and eventually Vortex. Same error message. Currently have the script extender and looksmenu installed and nothing else.Considered rolling back to Vortex 0.17.11 until the warning scared me off.Any advice on what I should do?Full disclosure: I'm about as new as it gets with this. A few weeks ago I was a frustrated PlayStation gamer, lamenting the watered down experience of console gaming. This is my first real foray into PC gaming. I have tried to follow all the advice I've come across, but frankly it's a lot to take in and I'm learning most of this as I go (I'm bound to have screwed something up somewhere). Thanks in advance for your advice and patience.

OriginalTil Posted June 1, 2019 Author Posted June 1, 2019 I'm having some trouble with that at the moment. Since the vortex upgrade, I'm not seeing the plugin option (it used to appear under 'Mods' right?)

There's some funny things going on with the 0.18.xx release
AugustaCalidia Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 You may want to roll back to 0.17.11. If you do, you can disregard the warning. In regard to 0.18.5 Tannin42 (the developer) said that it would be okay to roll back. Here is the thread: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7681488-8-files-could-not-be-deployed-issue-after-updating/. You, of course, have v. 0.18.6, but it does not appear to be substantially different from v. 0.18.5, according to its change log. To roll back, exit Vortex, install over the currently installed Vortex, and then restart Vortex.
OriginalTil Posted June 1, 2019 Author Posted June 1, 2019 Thank you both. I'll try it and see how it goes.
OriginalTil Posted June 1, 2019 Author Posted June 1, 2019 You guys... you guys are the best (all is working as it should now) thanks again!
