Paid for Premium, still getting standard speeds.

So, as the title says I paid for Premium and expected to get uncapped speeds for my Vortex downloads.

However, I am still getting around 1.0 - 1.2BMB/s. Rarely it will reach 4.5MB/s but this doesn't last long, perhaps only 5-10 seconds and then it drops down to 1.0MB/s again.

I have tested my cable speeds with other downloads from other programs and have not had any issue, all seems normal there.

So, is there a reason for this? Is there something else I need to configure to allow those speeds to increase? - I have already restarted Vortex and logged out and in back in again.

If this is simply the way it is at the moment, with Vortex not actually offering uncapped speeds consistently can I ask someone to direct me to how I would go about getting a refund for the amount paid to get uncapped speeds? Although the amount isn't much, it's the principle of the matter and I don't appreciate paying for something I'm not getting, as I'm sure you'll understand.

Thank you in advance.

Watch your expectations too.

Regular users can not exceed one MB per scond. It is server limited.

Premium users will download as fast as the premium Nexusmods server will support. This can vary drastically, depending on how many others are downloading.

This is NOT what your ISP will support - it is what the download server is capable of.

You should feel good about helping a mod repository to exist, which helps all of us.

One thing to note - had you already started your downloads before going Premium?

If you are non-Premium, you start downloads in Vortex, and then you go Premium, irrespective of whether you pause/resume the download or not, the file will not be served via our Premium system.

You need to start your downloads fresh as Premium.

Next, check to see if it's a Vortex issue or a site wide issue. Do this by downloading manually through your browser -- please leave the download running for 30 seconds and then see if the speed has improved. If the speed is better, then it's either the above, or more closely related to Vortex.

Lastly, make sure you try downloading from every single Premium file server location and seeing if the speed is better on any of them (you need to do this through your browser). If all the servers are slow, your ISP might have bad routing, as we have servers all over the world. For example, I live in the UK, but I can download from the LA server (8,000 miles away) at speeds for 5.5MB - 7.5MB/second.
