I read the posts of those that " dis " us ....

Let me point out some FACTS:

Usually, ( more often then not ) .... once Beth Updates,

... then SKSE updates.

... then you have to WAIT for the Mod Creators to Update

... and more than just a few days and/or weeks will pass before everything is likely to get caught up.

This is NOT SKSE's fault or Mod creator's fault. It would be nice if Beth gave us the CHOICE to update and/or NOT.

SKSE & Mod Creator's do their very best to get the fixes out ... I commend them and their hard work and efforts.

At first i was like "wtf? I worked fine three hours ago."

Then i saw that an update showed up.... so i guess it is a matter of waiting for SKSE to be updated as well.

Let's hope it doesn't take too long

You have to update every single mod that has a dll hooked to the executable... it's a pain in the ass. Bethesda basically wants you to stick with them and their mods only. They keep causing people pain by doing this s#*!.

The racemenu mod still needs updated to match the new game and SKSE versions, check the mods page over the next week for any updates to it.

I agree with this. The SKSE team and most of the modders do a wonderful job getting their mods updated as soon as possible.

As for Bethesda "deliberately" breaking our games... no, that's not how they think. Disrupting SKSE's hooks into the code is simply collateral damage as they chase after profit with the Creation Club. It's annoying as hell, I agree. But Bethesda is not out to "get" the modding community. They simply want to make money.

Having said that, I agree that Fallout 76 was a dumpster fire and I have grave reservations about TESVI...

("Hey there folks! Todd Howard here. I want to announce our newest innovation for the upcoming The Elder Scrolls VI... -LOOT BARRELS!")

*Shudder*

I have a suggestion, but I do not know the effort involved in making it work...

Could we get a separate tab on the mods page, or here in the forums for "SKSE dependent" mods? It would be a place to have the mods listed with their update status. I have a very long load order, and the info on the mods doesn't seem conducive to doing this for myself.

I am sorry if this is in the wrong place, pls move to an appropriate thread.

Although I had Steam set to only update my Skyrim SE when it's launched, this particular update forced its way into my downloads as an "update required". So I took one for the team and let it download (with backup in place) to see what might happen, and upon launching the game the following message appears on the menu:

SKYRIM UPDATES
To celebrate E3, we've brought back our massive 25th Anniversary bundle, which features content from past Elder Scrolls games.

We have also released brand new content. This includes a mini dungeon to acquire a powerful Akaviri sword, a quest to learn how to craft Netch Leather armor, and several other new items.

Kudos to the remarkable folk at SKSE who've already released its 2.0.16 build, and to all the tremendous mod-creators who're updating their mods accordingly. Thank you, one and all!

No, there's relatively few DLL mods that need updating every time. 99.5% of all mods will work out of the box on game updates, including those depending on SKSE64 once they update - and they typically do in less than 12 hours.

The other 0.5% that aren't being kept up to date are probably things you shouldn't still be using if they've skipped several version bumps. That's just the reality of modding. Things bitrot and go bad. Just like good food will if you try to keep it too long.
