NicolV
Version stuff:Vortex 0.18.9Released: 6/13/2019Electron: 4.1.4Node: 10.11.0Chrome: 69.0.3497.128 My issue: So I updated to the latest version of Vortex and tried downloading and deploying a mod for NMS. When it's busy deploying it says: "Vortex needs to access "D:\Steam Installs\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS\vortex.deployment.json" but doesn't have permission to. If your account has admin rights Vortex can try to unlock the file for you." The problem here is that i am the admin and when i go directly to the file i cant even access it. I even attempted to delete it to remake it and it still requires admin rights to delete. This is my 3rd mod that I am trying to deploy at the moment, i had 2 others additionally yesterday, but removed them. Now i can't deploy my mods as that message comes up, though in saying that i have yet to launch and see if that message can be ignored but i still would like to know what is causing this to happen and if there is a way to correct it. Update: restarting Vortex did not fix this issue so i restarted my PC and somehow this seems to have corrected the problem.Possible cause: Updating Vortex caused issues and needs a restart of your PC to fix,

Jannifer
It's amazing what problems a simple restart can fix. :)
Tannin42
The file was locked by another application. Restarting Windows also forced that other application to be closed and thereby unlock the file.
