Looking for a mod - You have to open containers to see inside

This is a pretty basic mod that i'm searching for. I'm pretty sure it already exists, but I can't remember what it would be called.

Essentially removes the ability to see what's inside a container just by looking at it.

Normally i'd be able to hide the item list of Containers using Def_HUD, but for the life of me I can't get that mod to work in that regard anymore. I've done everything I can think of, I have no idea why it's not working.

So instead, does anyone know the mod i'm describing here?

Cool! If I can't find what I want with the Nexus search engine after a few tries, I just uses the Googles. It's far less aggravating and gives faster and better results over all. Nexus search seems to focus too much on the mod title, and of course, if you don't know the name of the mod it's sort of useless in that event.

@ajs52698. Lol... That actually sound pretty much the opposite of easy. With all the tools we have for modding Bethesda games, there is not as much need to know or understand scripting for a lot of modders. I have very low level education and really struggle to understand scripting, though I have tried a few times to learn.

I think often people here come from a background where they learnt basic script language at school, use it in their work frequently or have some sort of background with it other than gaming applications.

It seems a fairly common assumption that we all know how to write script. I could understand that on different modding forums that have no tools for modding and require cracking the encrypted files to even get to them, but this is Bethesda. I can just drag and drop and I've created a mod basically.

You don't actually need a mod. If you can, do it in the console. Click on the selected npc and open the console......Type in openactorcontainer 1 (all 1 word... do not forget the space!) and then you can see what 's in there. The trading menu comes up, and you will be able to work with that like normal. You can change anything in there, and re-equip clothing, armor, weapons. FYI, if you change a weapon that needs ammo, make sure you add ammo. Companions will chew through it. I usually give regular NPC's 25 rounds and that will last forever.
