CruxButt
When installing a mod, Say, Fallout character overhaul, The mod installs but it installs ALL plugins and the usual menu doesn't pop up to ask what options I want to install. This does this with ALL mods with installation menus meaning that my current loadorder is pooched. I don't see why the fomod installation menus don't work anymore, This is a new installation of both FONV and nvse, As well as a new install of Vortex. rmm200
Something else is going on.I use FCO 2.3.1 for Project Nevada in Fallout NV.I click Reinstall on FCO, just to check this out on Current Vortex.First page that comes up is spash screen Welcome to the FCO Installer.Next brings up choices for addons, meshes, teeth, and other textures.Next page brings up Patches, and NPC AddonsNext then goes to Install.Since your result is different, start here:https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7332636-how-to-post-request-support-for-vortex/
CruxButt
Okay, Details then. Vortex version: 0.18.11 OS: Windows 10, 64bit. Cpu: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor Memory: 32gb Corsair DDR4 ram. Video: MSI 1050 GTX 2gb OC. Game: Fallout: New Vegas. Mods installed: 27. Basically, Any mod I download via the browser off Nexus Mods downloads in vortex. When it's done and I click 'install' instead of giving the usual fomod install menu for mods that usually have them, The mod just 'installs' with a warning notification at the top of Vortex letting me know there's "Multiple plugins" and enable all/ignore options below the message. Hitting 'reinstall' on the mods in question just does the same thing over again. EDIT: While waiting on a reply I tried something that seems to have worked. I use BRAVE as my default browser and by default it's set 'shields up' for sites. I turned that option off and all of a sudden Vortex seems to have no issue running the installer's menus now.. I have no idea why that would do anything.
rmm200
I don't know what interface Fomods use to present their displays. And I never heard of BRAVE before...If they do it through your browser - it certainly seems like this could be the cause. One more thing to add to our checklist of things to ask about... Brave is a browser with built in ad blocking etc, except the company is talking about going with a "Pay to surf" business model in the future. So, that's a browser I won't be trying anytime soon https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brave_(web_browser)
Celevan
I am having the same problem. I haven't used Vortex in a while and when I came back there was a Vortex update which I installed. I have been trying to set up Fallout New Vegas. I am running the Steam version. Generally, I download a .7z file from Nexus but I don't immediately install it. Sometimes it's because the mod I want to install requires a number of files, so I download them first, then use Vortex to install them. However, the automation does not run properly. For example, on a clean install of Fallout New Vegas, the first mod I attempted to install was UIO - User Interface Organizer. In that .7z file, there are three folders labeled fomod, nvse, and uio. When I install it with Vortex, it places the nvse and uio folders in the Data folder as it shoulder; however, it also places the fomod folder there, which it should not. It seems like it is simply extracting what is in the .7z file to the Data folder. When I try installing the same mod with FOMM, the nvse and uio folders are correctly placed in the Data folder, but it correctly does not add the fomod folder to the Data folder. In addition, when I deactivate the UIO - User Interface Organizer mod using FOMM, the uio and nvse folders are removed from the game's Data folder, as they should. When I uninstall the UIO - User Interface Organizer mod using Vortex, all three of the folders (fomod, nvse, and uio) remain in the Data folder. The last time I used Vortex was on Skyrim, and i seemed to be working okay. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Rattledagger
Taking a quick look on Nexus, this mod seems to only include Info.xml in the fomod-directory and this indicates the mod isn't actually using FOMOD install at all, since FOMOD installers normally uses ModuleConfig.xml With a ModuleConfig.xml only the files specified inside ModuleConfig.xml corresponding to your choices will be installed, but with only Info.xml a more generic "install everything" is used. This leads to you having a fomod-folder in your data-directory normally with only Info.xml present but can also include some other files. You can have multiple such mods intalled. Since Vortex suppress reporting conflicts on Info.xml it's easy to overlook you have such a mod at all. Example from original Skyrim, the mod "Achieve That" installs a fomod-directory only containing Info.xml to the data-directory.

I had a couple of other things going on as well, such as Archive Invalidation and not running as Administrator. I'm still running into some problems installing body replacers with Vortex, but I'm working them out. Thanks again.
