c0ax599
Well, I love screenshot/desktop threads. And the other one here looks pretty Stale! My current Win10 desktop. I change every few weeks usually. This one is easy on the eyes, easy to see and read all the text. Let's see yours!!!
Deleted54170User
No! All those glowing app short cuts you have there are a drain on the RAM: Random Access Memory. If you've got a Video Card with GPU and VRAM: Virtual Random Access Memory too. They drain them. Rebooting an older machine was necessary before beginning playing video games too. If I had a slow computer I would set them up in the basic menu list. That way they aren't on the desktop using up my RAM and VRAM.
c0ax599
Dude, I have gone from all different layouts to my Desktop, in 25 years of Desktops. Heh! I appreciate your comments, but in this day and age, that stuff doesn't matter so much. I got a circa 2012 machine with a few newer parts, specifically a newer vid card, GTX 1050 ti. I can run any wallpaper I want, with as many desktop icons/shortcuts as i want, no problem. That's just not a issue nowadays. I really wanted this thread to be more about people posting their current desktops, than debating what's right or wrong.;)
TheVampireDante
Not that there's much to see, I don't keep icons on my desktop.
wcurtin1962
I can see why you wouldn't want to cover that up!
c0ax599
Not that there's much to see, I don't keep icons on my desktop. Wow, I love that desktop! And quoting you showed me how to use "spoiler". :wink:I have gone through phases where I had no icons on my desktop. Win10's menu, made me go back to old ways. :tongue:I guess I know I could change it to the old menu? Just haven't messed with it. wcurtin1962
All of those looks excellent! I had to scale back my Windows effects as my computer has aged. Just more motivation to build another!

soupdragon1234
I was recently forced onto Windows 10 and couldn't bear the default icons windows etc so got WindowsBlinds to customize the look. Waterfox is just a regular skin and I still like Windows 7 gadgets. take 2# All of those looks excellent! I had to scale back my Windows effects as my computer has aged. Just more motivation to build another! Windows 7 ran fine with my old hardware but putting W10 onto it turned it into a slug and that was just the basic install and no pretty FX.
