Deleted21550714User
Please correct me when I'm wrong. There are more Elves living and operating business in Windhelm over any of the other cities. There is a dark elf roaming around Skyrim that plans to fight with stormcloaks, none for imperials. How many elves are in solitude? 2 rude sisters and some thalmor. I identified the thalmor as main bad guys but there is a lot of Nord haters out there. Are the cat people allowed in solitude? I know in windhelm the mean nords threw the dark elves into the grey quarters, how terrible. Should of kicked out the cruelseas and shattershields to the gray quarters so the elves live there? For me the bad guys are Thalmor. Edited July 27, 2019 by Guest

Deleted21550714User
A lot of them are, sure...In my experience people who only say "there racists" are the racist. Non applicable in Skyrim thankfully. Edited July 27, 2019 by Guest
Evangela
I wouldn't say they are racists. I'd say they just nationalists with a bit of tolerance for other cultures. There are those however, like Ulfric, who definitely prefer a Nord-only Skyrim.
Deleted21550714User
Ulfric could easily have a nord only whindhelm but rather he has taken in. Name the city in Skyrim that has the most non human NPCs,I think it's Windhelm Edited July 27, 2019 by Guest
Di0nysys
A lot of the Nord NPCs complain about non-Nord races being in Skyrim. If you speak to the Argonian workers at the Windhelm docks, as well as the people around the Grey Quarter, they tell you how they're treated as second class. A lot of Nords do hold racist views. I like this aspect of the world in Skyrim, no one faction really holds on to the moral high ground, and it makes the world more believable that way. Deleted21550714User
Giants are closest to the "holding moral high ground" For the record, the threatening Nord in windhelm gets his every playthrough on my end, doesn't matter if I play as a nord,Breton,or dark elf. I still say the most diverse city is easily Windhelm. And I still argue if the nords are that racist why help the dark elves? And why do the dark elves not want to help the people who took them in? Nobody is keeping the dark elves there that I know of. I'm not attacking the 2 users that made legitimate points, nor do I dismiss those points. There are evidently some nords that are jerks, same as all the other Skyrim races. Somehow the Nords are perceived as worse than the thalmor? morogoth35
Every race on Nirn has some people who are racists. Edited July 28, 2019 by morogoth35
BlackRabbitFantasyandArt
I also just want to point out as well, the Nords and dark elves have a long history of violence and hatred towards each other. In fact, (my timeline may be wrong) I believe it was in the second era that the Nords fully conquered Morrowind, creating a large amount of unrest with the local Dunmer and Dwemer population. Only after alliance of Dunmer and Dwemer led by Lord Indoril Nerevar and King Dumac did the Dunmer retake their home. Ever since, the Nords and Dunmer have been constantly fighting each other. The now abolishioned Dunmer slavery also did not help matters. Add in that both cultures are highly xenophobic and overly prideful in their own culture and you have a pot of angry tensions just ready to boil over. Now, in the fourth era, the Dunmer have again lost Morrowind and the Nords of Skyrim, in a new show of kindness, opened their borders to their once bitter enemies, but this does not mean that tensions and feelings are gone. In conclusion, I'd say yes, both factions are racist but understandably so, as they have both spent millennia in constant warfare with each other and some cultural hatred is to be expected. The opening of Skyrim's borders are certainly a step towards acceptance and peace, but it would likely be centuries or more before both cultures would truly learn to coexist under these conditions. PS: All that said, my Dunmer will be going stormcloak, she firmly believes that Morrowind was best independent, and the same is true for Skyrim; preferring the various ations to remain indepentent. VaderNation
Sloads of Thras are racist. They used pandemic warfare to kill the other races of Tamriel. Dark Elves are racist. They invaded and enslaved Argonians for hundreds of years. They also enslaved Imperials, Orcs, Nords and Khajiit. Thalmor are racist as well.Kemal are racist. When not in their frozen state during the summer they attack the Tang Mo. They invaded Tamriel and sacked Windhelm during the second Akavir Invasion in the second era.Tsaesci enslaved and ate the Men of Akavir. They also enslaved the Red Dragons of Akavir.Ayleids enslaved humans. A lot of Ayleids did help the human rebellion though. Nords don't seem all that racist compared to other races of Nirn.
