monesq
To begin, I use LOOT, FNIS, Vortex, SSEEdit Quick Auto Clean, and have a powerful video card and chip set. I have a load order that did work well, changed to another profile, used some of the mods from the previous profile but not all. I reinstalled Skyrim SE, removing the directory from my computer after reinstalling. I was having a CTD problem 60 seconds or so into the game. I disabled all mods and then slowly enabled them until the CTD stopped. Could not find which mod, if any, was causing the CTD because all the mods were eventually loaded. I now have an occasional CTD that occurs more often than not when there is an intense animation (jumping off the horse to attack a group of enemies as an example". I cannot figure out the issue. My video driver is up to date, Windows 10 is up to date, and all mods are up to date. Both Vortex and Loot do not report any errors, yet, I am having a CTD issue. Could this issue be associated with a heat issue? I do have a cooler for my laptop but it still gets a bit warm. (GS 65 Stealth 9se with an RTX 2060 graphics card, Intel i7 9th generation). Any ideas would be helpful. Edited August 16, 2019 by monesq
LeddBate
I'm not seeing issues with your load order. But I'm hardly an expert. Now an overheating system can cause all sorts of problems. I think your suspicion is correct. Do you have the ability to monitor your CPU and GPU temperatures? If they're hitting 100+ degrees, your CPU (and maybe your GPU) could be throttling themselves to prevent damage. This could theoretically lead to CTDs. My CPU and GPU are within normal limits. GPU high 7s to mid-high 80s, CPU less than that. The biggest issue was in the beginning of the game where it would crash almost exactly 1 minute after the game started. Now, I notice it more when I am riding a horse, but I can't imagine Convenient horses would have that much of an impact. I have also noticed texture/color issues, sides of objects appearing bright purple or bright white (the fireplace in a Jarl's longhouse) so I am changing my texture pack to see if that may be a cause. LeddBate
Hmm. If that doesn't work. Consider having your GPU checked out by a technician. It might be failing. As a side-note. I would recommend Immersive Horses over Convenient Horses. It won't help with your CTD issue. I just think it's a better horse mod.

The initial CTD's have gone away, not sure how, but the game CTD's, 4 out of 5 times when I am on a horse, especially if there are other NPCs in the cell (though I dismissed all my followers and it has still happened. I like traveling by horse as you see a lot more of the land that you would miss by fast travel. It could be dirty scripts but am not confident in using something like Fallrim Tools as I have heard positive and negative things and it requires JAVA, which I absolutely hate,
