cmac
Fact: There are are no good shortblades whatsoever in Morrowind. Granted, Keening and the Fang of Hankcamakent (SP) are acceptable. But, as I stumbled through Tribunal and BloodMoon with a tooth and a dagger that kills you unless you have heavy armour equipped, I realised that I should make some new shortblades of my own. I have come up with one idea so far. It is an ebony shortsword called Nehima. It casts Silence for 10 seconds, drain health 10-50 points for 5 seconds, and Soultrap for 20 seconds. Even with this, I had to use practically a crate of Exclusive Restoe Health potions to defeat the goblins and werewolves- and my character is not low level! Any ideas (names + enchantments, in addition to what kind of sword) would be great, and I will make the mod. I'm sure all the stealth-oriented characters will appreciate it. Adamastor
you can never go wrong with massive damage nor with names of gods/myths such as prometheus (stole fire from the gods), Adamastor (the embodyment of all the storms at the cape of storms), or the medusa (in case you dont know she petrifies with a glance and her blood is kills humans) etcbut as for good short sword it all depends on the enchantments, i like the paralise and the health sucking efects... and for more fun you could mod the knife into a weapon with small dmg but huge enchantments
cactoblasta
wakazashis are pretty good, although admittedly not as good as katanas or daikatanas. The whole point of shortblades though is that you hit faster and with more cunning. Enchantments like paralyze, poison and absorb health/fatigue/magicka are all excellent ways of improving your attack power with short blades. Chameleon or sanctuary on strike is also pretty useful - the more you hit the less your enemy can see or hit you. You might also want to try attacking stealthily from behind (if possible). The bonuses to knockdown and damage can really make the difference for a knife-wielding character.
tmons78
Just to add on to what cactoblasta said, if you want to avoid having to use health potions all of the time, use absorb health as opposed to drain health. You will still damage your opponent's health, only you will get the benefit of gaining that health back. And, I think someone told me once that absorb health cannot be blocked/reflected, but I could be wrong.
cmac
Yes, that is true. But, still: any ideas: Sword Name: _______________Sword Art:__________________Sword Enchantment:__________
Switch
well i think this would be a fairly well balanced enchantment from the ideas listed above, provided the dagger/shortsword is 1-1 damage. Cast on StrikeAbsorb Health 10 pts for 5 secs.Poison 2 pts for 10 secs.Paralyze 10 secs. pretty nasty damage and a useful paralyze effect... might be a little overpowered tho, im too good at making unbalancing items :P
