Rebel Galaxy Outlaw (Freelancer & WCPrivateer Like Game)

If there's any old Freelancer or Wing Commander Privateer fans here, Rebel Galaxy Outlaw has gotta be the closest thing I've seen to these games yet!!! Gorgeous planet landings FTW!

 

I'm a huuuuuuuuuuuge Freelancer fan (so much so I run a fb fan group haha). Fans still mod it to this day creating cool stuff but somehow this great old game never got a sequel. This new game is by far the closest I've ever seen to Freelancer.

 

Sadly it’s an Epic store exclusive for now but that’s okay, I'll just wait for it to come to steam as I’m in no hurry due to my endless gaming to do list lol.

A: If you don't think Spaceships, Biker Gangs, Decaying Blue-Collar Americana, Machine Guns and a complete disregard for accurate space physics go together, then there's probably not a good reason.

LOLOL. Yep, looks interesting. Coming out on steam next year???? Hhhmmm......... I *might* wait for that.... :D I loved the Wing Commander Franchise. (I think I still have all of those games too.....)

I recently bought Wing Commander Privateer off of GOG. I'm interested in getting back into it. Your game looks very appealing. I'll have to track this.

Yeah, it looks a LOT like Privateer. :) Just a female main character, and a slightly different story. Mechanics look pretty much the same, with some polishing.

 

I loved Privateer. That was a FUN game. I was really looking forward to Star Citizen, until they decided it would be pretty much ONLY an MMO.

I suspect it simply vaporware in any event. They keep expanding the scope of the game, each time technology moves forward..... have already spent about 250 million bucks (mostly crowdfunded.....) and they still haven't even made it to a beta release yet........

haha yeah it's gonna be a long wait for steam (although console releases may come sooner) but sorry Epic I'm not signing up to yet another client.

 

Yeah as much as I drool over the Star Citizen vids I just have no interest in playing a pure MMO.

Yep, Saw the link in your other thread. Looks interesting. :) I loved the guy in the comments, talking about Star Citizen, his take was, it won't ever be a real game, just something for people to make Chris Roberts rich with. :)
