Sooo i just found out NMM does not work. Cos its difficult to improve and maintain or smth. (Why not leave it like it is ffs its perfect already). Soo i installed vortex just to add some mods. "War of the commonwealth" and some clothes mods. The UI is confusing af and gotta pay for more than one download but eh... Manageable. Where are the mod settings tho? In NMM it just popped up during installation process. There are 6 settings menus mentioned on the mod page and everything worked perfectly with NMM as i recall. What do i do? How to open the mod settings?

What kind of "mod settings" do you mean exactly? (I've never used NMM so can't relate and don't want to assume.)

The settings you choose during the installation in manager. Not the ingame ones. Like the darkness preset for darker nights or windmill rotation speed in animation mod. I saw the window in guide but it just dont show up with war of the commonwealth. Edit: added the pic

Ok, so FOMODs. Those appear during the installation process, assuming a given mod has one. The only way I know to reactivate them is to uninstall and then reinstall the mod. Just be sure not to check "Remove Archive" when uninstalling and you're good to go.

Thanks. Found it.

The 6 setting menus mentioned on the mod page are the 6 setting menus in the PIPBOY once the mod is installed.

However, you DO NOT, want to be using "War of the Commonwealth"

I don't like to disparage mods, but WOTC is notorious for eventually rendering your game savegame unplayable, and hasn't been updated in 2 years.

@AvCCKhan

I'm glad that you found a solution.

@HTR

Since you've brought up WOTC, I'll follow your lead and go slightly off topic.

I love WOTC. I've used it for two previous Fallout 4 playthroughs, and I'm now using it for a third. The mod is a cantankerous beast, but I've tamed it enough to make Fallout 4 a very enjoyable experience because of it. After a lot of trial and error I learned what WOTC settings were best for any given area of the Fallout 4 map. I can adjust those settings on the fly. Before entering a difficult game cell, I make appropriate adjustments and then continue my mission. In my experience with WOTC, the most crash prone areas of the Fallout 4 map are certain sections of downtown Boston (the Skybridge is the worst).
