TophatGhost
Heyo, I know that title sounds like a nonsensical nightmare but it makes sense! Long story short I had my Vortex installed on my C: drive and the mods and games running on my D: drive but had to wipe the C: drive recently. I reinstalled Vortex onto the D: drive so I'm just wondering if there's a way I can make it discover the installed mods that are already there. I have a lot and if there's a quicker way to do this rather than downloading them all again, I'd be super grateful! Thanks
AugustaCalidia
What do you mean by "wipe the C: drive?" Did you have to reinstall your games as a result? Also, have you looked at the Mods and Downloads tabs in Vortex settings? You can point Vortex to the correct D: drive directories there.
HadToRegister
If you had Vortex DOWNLOAD the mods to your C vortex DOWNLOADS folder, then those mod archives are gone and you'll need to re-download them.If you downloaded the mod archives from the Nexus to your D vortex downloads folder then you still have them. However, once you wiped the C drive, then most likely you also wiped the appdata\roaming\Vortex folder that held all of the mod info.Vortex, nor any other mod manager can 'discover' already installed mods in your Data folder and know what to do with them.
